Even though we’re still a month away from Halloween, it’s hard not to think about the winter holidays. Just remember, even though something may be marketed for Christmas, the happiest time of the year, it doesn’t mean it’s good. For instance, a candy has been released that takes an old classic and actually makes it kind of disgusting.

A Seattle-based company called Archie McPhee is manufacturing mac and cheese flavored candy canes. Even if you’re the type of person to never turn down cheese, this is one you might do a hard pass on.

Here’s the worst part. Archie McPhee are already professionals at making disgusting candy canes. Even though mac and cheese might make you feel a little ill, there are a few other combos they sell that are downright vile. Just to warn you, they sell a product called “clamdy canes.” And yes, they’re exactly what you think they are — clam-flavored candy canes. Yikes. Their rotisserie chicken flavor, however, is one that might be worth trying. All varieties can be found on their site for just $5.95.

Part of the mystery behind the mac and cheese flavor comes from the fact that it’s unclear what brand it’s modeled after.

While it’s probably Kraft, as their blue box is one of the most popular, it’d be kind of fun if it were based around Annie’s mac and cheese, which tastes a little more sophisticated. Regardless, the idea of sucking on mac and cheese is gross no matter what.

Hey, even if they’re not something you actively want to try, at least they’ve got a fun color to them. Maybe they’ll be good to hang on the tree.

The good news is, the company sells way more than candy canes. With the slogan of “we make it weird,” the store has a bunch of fun mementos that would make pretty incredible holiday gifts. So, maybe those mac and cheese candy canes will make it into your online cart after all.
