Prepare to ride a sugar high all summer long. There are two new Pop-Tarts flavors, and both dessert-themed treats sound freaking amazing. According to Delish, Frosted Chocolate Cupcake and Frosted Confetti Cupcake Pop-Tarts are hitting shelves soon.
If one of these “new” flavors sounds familiar, it’s because the Frosted Confetti Cupcake has actually been around the Pop-Tarts block before.
Apparently, the official Frosted Confetti Cupcake flavor first released in 2017, but earlier “confetti cupcake” renditions have been around since 2013.
The Pop-Tarts marketing director, Joe Beauprez said, “At Pop-Tarts, we love to give fans the flavors they love most, and our research shows that over 50 percent of our fans eat Pop-Tarts as a snack… We reimagined the classic [confetti cupcake] dessert in Pop-Tart form, giving our devoted fans more opportunity to enjoy this delicious, sweet treat any time of the day.”
Oh man. We are so ready.
These two new flavors are pretty self-explanatory. The Frosted Confetti Cupcake Pop-Tarts will most-likely taste similar to a classic Funfetti cupcake. And the Frosted Chocolate Cupcake appears to have chocolate frosting on the outside with a classic vanilla cream filling.
New Frosted Chocolate Cupcake and returning Frosted Confetti Cupcake Pop-Tarts will be out soon! It should be interesting to see how much the chocolate flavor differs from the preexisting Cookies & Creme and Chocolate Vanilla Creme varieties. https://t.co/LPvtJuGkrK pic.twitter.com/FAXT0GdahE

And judging by people’s reactions to the first batches of Confetti Cupcake Pop-Tarts, we have a feeling we’re about to try something great. Yum, yum, yum!
You know, we’re actually in the market for a new downfall. What a coincidence.
We think Pop-Tarts of any flavor are suitable for any meal. But that’s just our opinion.
The confetti cupcake pop-tarts taste like cupcakes and I'm confused about what meal it falls under now.

Yes. Yes, they are.
Wow, we hope Tommy is still holding out hope. They’re coming back, Tommy. They love you.
If you love Confetti Cupcake Pop-Tarts, let them go. If they come back to you, they were yours. If they don’t, then you should probably eat something else and keep telling people how great they were.

Truth be told, we have yet to meet a Pop-Tart we haven’t liked.
So, we already know Frosted Chocolate Cupcake and Frosted Confetti Cupcake are going to be new faves.

No. They’re ours, actually.
If anyone finds a value pack of cinnamon pop-tarts at the self check out at Walmart, they’re mine

Yeah… we’ve been getting those, too. Just let it happen, man.
Honestly, we’ll hop on board with this. Serve us all the Frosted Chocolate Cupcake ravioli, posthaste!
If hotdogs are sandwiches then pop-tarts are ravioli.

Oh, um. Never mind.
Dear internet,

Today is National Ravioli Day.
Ravioli is defined as "pasta in the form of little cases of dough containing a savory filling."
I don't remember Pop-Tarts fitting that description.
I hope you have a nice life
Love,
Pop-Tarts
Yeah. That’s, like, totally understandable.
Public service announcement:
