Marble Cake

  • 1.

    Preheat the oven to 375 F / 190 C.

    Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl.

    Place the soft butter and sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer.

    Beat until pale in color – about 4 minutes.

  • 5.

    Add the eggs, one at a time on low speed.

  • 6.

    Stir in half of the flour mixture.

  • 7.

    Mix on medium speed until just incorporated – 1 minute.

  • 8.

    Add the milk and the remaining flour.

  • 9.

    Mix until combined. Divide the batter in half.

  • 10.

    Add the cocoa powder in one. Stir to combine. Add the vanilla extract in the other one.

    Stir to combine. Coat a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.

  • 12.

    Alternate spoonful of vanilla and chocolate batter. Swirl a knife through to marble.

  • 13.

    Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  • 14.

    Let cool at room temperature for 10 minutes.

  • 15.

    Remove from the pan and enjoy!
