Spritz Cookies (for the cookie press)

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cream the butter, confectioners’ sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, salt and extracts. Slowly add ½ cup flour at a time.
  2. Fill cookie press with dough with desired disk. Press dough onto an ungreased non non-stick baking sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 6-8 minutes. Remove from the oven and transfer cookies onto a cooling rack.

TIPS:

  1. Using a cold baking sheet helps the dough stick from the press.
  2. If you don’t like how the cookie got pressed out, scoop it off the sheet and try again.

Basic Pie Dough

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Mix flour, salt and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Add butter and gently mix with hands until it resembles coarse meal. Add a 1 tablespoon of ice water and gently mix until a ball is formed (do not overmix).
  2. Turn dough onto a piece of plastic wrap. Fold plastic over dough and form into a 1 inch thick disc. Refrigerate for about 1 hour or until firm.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to ¼ inch thickness.Used desired gadget to create fun design.
  4. Transfer dough to a pie plate with pie filling and cut overhang.

Basic Pasta Dough (for the pasta rollers)

  1. Create a mound with the semolina flour; add water, olive oil and salt. Mix until a dough is created. If it’s too dry, add more water.
  2. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for 15 minutes. Cover with plastic and let dough rest for 20 minutes.
  3. Cut dough into ½ inch thick by 1 inch wide strands. Feed through pasta rollers.

  1. Mix flour, salt and baking powder together. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar together then mix in eggs. Slowly add flour mix ½ cup at a time. Stream in milk with vanilla extract and mix.
  2. Line 2 muffin tins with cupcake liners and divide the batter equally.
  3. Place muffin tins into a 375 degree oven for about 16-18 minutes.
