In case you don’t already know everything there is to know about Meghan Markle (in which case, where have you been?!), here’s an important fact: She lives an extremely healthy lifestyle. This was apparent in the couple’s unique menu options for their royal wedding in May, and has played a big role in Meghan’s relationship with Prince Harry. So, it isn’t too surprising to hear reports that Meghan has completely changed Prince Harry’s diet for the better — it seems like it was pretty much bound to happen!
Apparently, this lifestyle change has been going on for a while. The newly married couple supposedly wanted to be as healthy as possible for their wedding, according to a source that spoke with People. The source said, “Meghan is a beautiful influence on Harry. They both worked hard to be the healthiest they could be before they got married.”
The source also told People that Harry and Meghan have been working with Gabriela Peacock, who is the founder of GP Nutrition, a company that sells nutritional supplements. Back in April, a different source spoke with The Daily Mail, saying similar things about how Meghan had changed Harry’s lifestyle. That source claimed that Meghan had gotten Harry to give up carbs and processed foods, start juicing, and begin eating ingredients like kale and quinoa.
The source claimed they had joined an expensive gym and said, “They have bought a top-of-the-range juicer and she has him on fruit and veg smoothies. She’s also weaning him off meat.”
Meghan has previously stated that she follows a mainly vegan diet, and that she prefers healthy snacks, like fruit and nut butter. She has also talked about having green juice instead of coffee in the afternoon, and has professed to being a bag fan of kombucha, a healthy probiotic drink that’s good for your gut. While she works hard to stay healthy, she also has a good view on things. She told Reader’s Digest, “I try to eat vegan during the week and then have a little bit more flexibility with what I dig into on the weekends. But at the same time, it’s all about balance. Because I work out the way I do, I don’t ever want to feel deprived. I feel that the second you do that is when you start to binge on things. It’s not a diet; it’s lifestyle eating.”
So why the push for Harry to get healthy as well? A source told People, “Meghan encouraged Harry to get rid of any remnants of his party lifestyle. She wanted him to get in shape and be healthy.”
It definitely seems to be working. The source continued, “Harry has lost weight, started a healthier diet and even gave up smoking cigarettes. They both felt amazing leading up to the wedding. And he couldn’t have done it without her support.”
Honestly, this just makes us love these two even more than we already did.
