We’re less than a week away from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding. And yet, there’s still so much we don’t know about the grand affair. What will Meghan’s wedding dress look like? Will the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Royal Baby #3, a.k.a. Prince Louis, make an appearance? What food will they serve at the reception? Personally, we think Harry and Meghan should serve royal wedding donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts, but maybe that’s just us. Most royal wedding details are still being held tightly under wraps. But we do know one thing about the food spread: There will be food trucks.
The food trucks won’t be at the actual royal wedding reception itself. They’ll roll up to the royal after party at 2 a.m., which yes, is absolutely a thing. According to Express.co.uk, the royal wedding after party will include a disco complete with plenty of late-night snacks. Um, can we come?
“Prince Harry is planning to use ice cream vans the same way [William and Kate] did,” a source told the site. Apparently, when William and Kate wed back in 2011, Harry convinced them to spring for the vans, in addition to bacon and sausage sandwiches. No word on if Harry and Meghan will have bacon and sausage sandwiches, but one thing’s for certain: “Ice cream vans” is perhaps the most proper term EVER for what we in America call food trucks.
Typically, fruitcake is served at British weddings. But Harry and Meghan are opting for a lighter (and more delicious) option. It’s yet another way their wedding is breaking tradition, and we’re here for it.

We sincerely hope someone snaps a pic of the Queen ordering and waiting for ice cream from a food truck.
