Hut, hut, hike! Football season is back again, and while others are obsessing over their fantasy draft picks, we’re more preoccupied with fantasizing about what’s on draft. Sportsmanship aside, we all know the real fun of game day is biting into a juicy, hot buffalo wing and wearing the saucy mess on your face like war paint. It takes a lot of energy to cheer your favorite team to victory, and nothing provides long-lasting energy and a hearty protein kick better than beef jerky. We’ve teamed up with KRAVE to show you how to be the real MVP of football foodies.
Whether you’re hosting the viewing party at your house, or just bringing some snacks to the tailgate, these game-day hacks will be a total touchdown with any crowd. Preheat oven to 450°F.
Slice the potato into thin slices, leaving about ¼ inch at the bottom unsliced. The spoon will prevent you from slicing the potato all the way. Repeat with all potatoes.
Place the potatoes onto a baking sheet and insert the cheese slices and jerky into each cut of the potato alternating between each slice.
Bake the potatoes for 20 to 30 minutes.
Remove the potatoes from the oven, top with sour cream and green onions and enjoy!
¼ cup celery juice
¾ cup water
handful of pearl onions
¼ cup Worcestershire
¾ cup water
handful of olives
¼ cup vodka
2 cups Bloody Mary mix
Place the sliced jalapeños, pearl onions, and olives inside each section of the ice cube tray, one item in each cube.
Mix together ¼ cup of hot sauce with ¾ cup of water. Repeat with celery juice and Worcestershire.
Pour the hot sauce mixture over the jalapeños, the celery mixture over the onions, and the Worcestershire mixture over the olives.
Freeze for at least 2 hours.
Place the ice cubes into a glass. You may use more than one ice cube of choice depending on the flavor you want in your drink.
Add in 1 part vodka and 3 parts Bloody Mary mix. Top with toppings of your choice and enjoy!
1 lb jalapeños
8 oz cream cheese
2.7 oz Krave Chili Lime Jerky
1 can Pillsbury Crescent Dough
To remove the seeds from a jalapeño, roll it on the table, pressing firmly down to loosen up the seeds inside. Cut off the top of the jalapeño and tap it against the surface. The seeds should fall out easily. From there, cut the jalapeño into four pieces horizontally.
Remove the crescent dough from its can and separate the pieces as they are cut.
Place one piece of cut jalapeño, a small slice of cream cheese, and a few pieces of Krave jerky onto the larger side of the crescent dough.
Roll into crescents by rolling the widest end into the smallest. Place point side down on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375°F for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Brush with a small layer of honey as soon as the rolls come out of the oven. Serve immediately.
