Hiccups. The annoying reaction your body has when your diaphragm doesn’t receive enough air. It happens to all of us and usually at the worst times. You need to disrupt your natural breathing and we know how to do that. Everyone is different, but here are the top ways you can put an end to those darn hiccups right away.
Let’s get straight to the point:
This is the one I do every time a hiccup attack approaches me. Works 100% of the time. It may look funny, but no more uncomfortable noises will be coming from your mouth.
Somehow my cheeks always end up looking like chipmunks when I try this one. I would say this works sometimes. I still haven’t figured out the magic amount of seconds to hold my breath for.
If you aren’t allergic, this one is also a winner. Since peanut butter is sticky, it can alter your breathing as you try to eat it.
If you’re around friends or family, you know they’ll love to scare you. If that doesn’t work, try watching a scary video or something with jump scares. There are better alternatives, though.
Time to center yourself. Pull out some mediation and yoga tricks to end your hiccups. Maybe take a nap, too. Hiccups can be draining.
Same goes for honey. If you’re allergic to nuts, try this one. Also, honey–Yum!
