This Woman’s “Food Baby” Photo Has Gone Viral In The Best Way

There’s nothing quite like being blessed with one of life’s most magical miracles — a bouncing food baby. This little bundle of joy usually arrives soon after devouring a delicious meal and kindly reminds us of the calories we just consumed for at least a few hours. When one girl posted a photo of her food baby online, it went viral, and in the best way possible.

On January 19th, Fatimah Waheeb took to Twitter to share her food baby with the world.

She wrote, “i can’t be the only one that gets extremely bloated and starts imagining myself being pregnant??”

And uh, no. She definitely isn’t.

Waheeb’s tweet went viral, garnering over 65,000 likes and over 1,100 replies.

So many women showed off their own food babies and the food maternity support group Waheeb started continues to grow.

“I had just finished eating a bunch of wasabi while watching anime and I realised how bloated I was and I thought it would be funny to share how bloated women can get,” Waheeb told BuzzFeed News on January 21st.

“I wasn’t that surprised [at the viral response] because I know if I get extremely bloated loads of other women would too and it’s nice to know other women get as bloated as I do and pretend to be pregnant!”

And to be quite clear, Waheeb is not actually pregnant. (Nor are we making light of being pregnant.)

In fact, neither are any of these women (or men!).

Like Waheeb, they are simply embracing the universal food baby.

Don’t even dare tell us you’ve never had one. We simply won’t believe you.

“Girl your not the only one I do this all the time” is right.

So have we, Valerie. So have we. Because we’re all in this together!

Yes! We need more threads like this one.

Looks like witchcraft. Is actually relatable everyday content.

We are seriously loving these photos that make us feel less alone.

And we are here for all these fabulous food baby photoshoots.

Milkshake baby. Taco Bell baby. We love and welcome all of them.

Honestly, this also makes a pretty great prank.

So do we, Hails. So do we.

Ladies (and gentlemen), food pregnancies are very normal and we should proudly embrace our food baby bumps.

As Waheeb said via Twitter, “i’m so glad bloating is normalised, fuck anyone that said my bloating wasn’t normal lmao it very much is.”

And if anyone asks when you’re due, take it as a compliment.

It only means you’ve had a great meal and it shows.
