Sweet Dessert Hacks to De-Stress Your Holiday Baking!

Christmas Forest Cake

Ingredients needed:

  • 6-inch round cake chocolate cake
  • Chocolate frosting
  • Dark chocolate kit-kat
  • Milk chocolate kit-kat
  • Sugar cones
  • Vanilla frosting; green food coloring
  • Powdered sugar

Reindeerbread Man

Ingredients needed:

  • Sugar cookie dough, premade dough
  • Gingerbread man cookie cutter
  • Chocolate frosting
  • Sliced almonds
  • Round candy
  • Mini marshmallow

Directions:

1.) Bake cookies according to the package directions.

2.) Pipe chocolate frosting into a reindeer face shape.

3.) Sprinkle sugar on the ears.

4.) Place an almond for the ear, small candy for the nose, and halved mini marshmallow and mini m&m for the eyes.

Melted Snowmen

Ingredients needed:

  • Sugar cookie, premade dough
  • Circle cookie cutter
  • Ketchup bottle, clean
  • Vanilla frosting, melted
  • Chocolate frosting
  • Marshmallow, large
  • Small candy

Directions:

1.) Bake cookies according to the package directions.

2.) Microwave frosting for 45 seconds.

3.) Pour contents into the ketchup bottle.

4.) Squeeze the bottle over the cookie and create a melted snowman puddle.

5.) Pinch a small piece off the middle of the large marshmallow and stick a small candy.

6.) Pipe small brown dots for eyes and smile.

7.) Place head on the cookie.

Dirty Chai Latte

Ingredients needed:

  • Chai latte concentrate mix
  • Whipped cream topping
  • Instant coffee packet
  • Gingerbread man cutter

Directions:

1.) On a quarter sheet pan, spread cool whip cream with a spatula.

2.) Freeze for 1 hour.

3.) Punch out gingerbread men and cover with instant coffee packets.

4.) Pour a cup of chai latte.

5.) Place gingerbread man on the latte and stir.

Cinnamon Hot Cocoa

Ingredients needed:

  • Hot chocolate
  • Marshmallow fluff
  • Cinnamon

Directions:

1.) Pipe marshmallow fluff out with the star tip on a sheet pan.

2.) Freeze for at least 1 hour.

3.) Pour hot cocoa and slide a marshmallow on top.

4.) Garnish with cinnamon.
