Recreate Cafe Classics with These Incredible Chocolate Cup Hacks

Ingredients for the cups 

  • dark chocolate
  • chocolate covered pretzels

For Tiramisu

  • 1 pound cake
  • 8 oz mascarpone
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp cold brew coffee
  • cocoa powder

For White chocolate matcha

  • white chocolate
  • white chocolate covered pretzels
  • 1 white cake mix
  • 1 tbsp matcha green tea powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 8 oz whipped cream
  • fresh raspberries

For Caramel Macchiato

  • 1 white cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp cold brew coffee
  • 8 oz whipped cream
  • dark chocolate
  • melted caramel

Preparation for Tiramisu:

  1. Cut a circle in the pound cake and place it inside the chocolate cup and spoon the coffee on top.
  2. Mix mascarpone with vanilla extract and fill in the cup.
  3. Place another circle of cake on top of the mascarpone layer and pour more coffee on top.
  4. Cover the top with another mascarpone layer.
  5. Finish with a dusting layer of cocoa powder.

Complexity: easy

Prep Time: 25 minutes

Servings: 2 (could be multiplied)

Preparation for White Chocolate Matcha:

  1. Mix together eggs, white cake mix, vegetable oil, water and matcha green tea powder.
  2. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes.
  3. Let it cool down and cut a circle using a cookie cutter.
  4. Melt white chocolate and pour inside a paper cup.
  5. Rotate the cup, coating all the sides.
  6. Let it set for 20 minutes.
  7. Peel the cup and stick a melted white chocolate covered pretzel to the side.
  8. Place the circle of matcha cake inside the chocolate cup
  9. Mix together whipped cream and melted white chocolate to make the mousse.
  10. Fill the chocolate cup with mousse.
  11. Place another cake circle on top of a mousse layer.
  12. Cover the top with mousse and decorate with raspberries.

Prep Time: 35 minutes

Servings: 2 (could be multiplied)

Preparation for Caramel Macchiato:

  1. To make the vanilla cake, mix white cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil.
  2. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes and then let cool.
  3. Cut a circle in the vanilla cake using a cookie cutter.
  4. Mix whipped cream with melted dark chocolate and coffee to make the coffee mousse.
  5. Fill the chocolate cup with a cake circle and add the mousse layer.
  6. Place another circle of cake and cover it with another mousse layer.
  7. Drizzle melted caramel and decorate with coffee beans.
