16 Meghan Markle Conspiracy Theories That Are Endlessly Entertain...

Meghan markle baby diet

She may have been famous for her role on Suits before marrying into the royal family, but now that Meghan Markle is in one of the biggest spotlights in the entire world, people have dreamt up some seriously strange conspiracy theories about her. We guess that’s just what happens when you become a mega-celebrity, and TBH, we selfishly don’t hate it.

The public is currently speculating whether or not baby Sussex has officially arrived. Although her baby’s birth is not an outright conspiracy, Meghan’s pregnancy, familial relationships, and lineage have all been called into question. Heck — she might even be a U.S. spy, according to some conspiracy theorists.

There’s nothing quite like a good conspiracy theory to get the gossip flowing and our fingers desperately tapping keys for more information.

If you’re like us, check out the below Meghan Markle-related conspiracy theories and prepare to dive down a deep rabbit hole.

Of course, despite some being based on fact, these are all just theories. We never like to condone the spreading of false rumors, but guys, these conspiracies are too funny not to share.

We apologize to the Duchess of Sussex in advance. Sorry — and we really do mean that.

1. Meghan isn’t/wasn’t actually pregnant.

It seems like any time an A-list celebrity announces their pregnancy, people have their doubts. Remember Beyoncé’s “deflating” baby bump? Markle has not been saved from this fate.

People on Twitter claim to have “video evidence” that the bump is actually a prosthetic — it’s too square, too “jiggly,” and it moves too much when she walks.

However, we’re far from convinced.

2. Love Actually predicted Meghan and Harry’s love story.

Meghan and Harry or Sam and Joanna? If you’ve seen Love Actually, you’ll know what we’re talking about. In the film, Sam deals with losing his mother at a young age — as did Harry in real life. And they both ended up falling for American actresses.

And both actors that play Sam and Joanna ~kind of~ look like younger versions of Harry and Meghan.

Interesting… very interesting…

3. Meghan is a secret agent working for the U.S. government.

British actor Paul Bettany told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show in May 2018 that he believes Meghan Markle is an American sleeper agent.

“And like, the dad doing the photos thing — it’s like a false-flag event,” Bettany said, referring to the scandal in which Markle’s father was paid to have his photos taken by paparazzi while reading up on his daughter’s upcoming marriage.

“I think the CIA’s involved…Piers Morgan’s involved…” Bettany joked.

4. Prince Harry married Meghan in order to conquer the U.S.

It’s only been a few centuries since America won its independence from the crown. “Brits are playing long-ball here, but it’s a smart move,” Greg Pollowitz tweeted after Meghan and Harry announced their engagement.

“They want America back and this is how they’ll do it.” This royal baby might be the final nail in America’s coffin.

Oh. Um… never mind.

5. Meghan is a robot.

In June 2018, a video went viral in which Meghan Markle truly looked like a cyborg from another planet. Her face was completely still and her head moved so rigidly that people were shook, convinced that the Duchess was made of metal. However, the video was soon debunked.

It was a clip from Britain’s Got Talent and both Harry and Meghan were actually wax replicas from Madame Tussaud’s.

Phew. That was scary for a minute.

6. The royal family blacked out a broadcast about Meghan and Harry’s relationship.

In 2016, when Meghan and Harry were still keeping their relaysh on the down low, British talkshow This Morning experienced “technical difficulties” during a segment in which they had planned to talk about the potential royal romance.

Fans thought that the royal family may have been behind the blackout, cutting communication before information was leaked.

7. “Megbot” Twitter accounts are linked to Russia.

In March 2019, research conducted by consultancy firm 89up showed that 1,000 bot-like Meghan Markle Twitter fan accounts were tweeting upwards of half a million tweets since September 2018.

These accounts had an “unusually high reach” for such an interconnected group.

Some of these accounts are also reportedly linked to Russian conspiracy theories.

8. Meghan may be running the Sussex Insta account.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially got their own Instagram account on April 2nd. In their first post, the caption was written as if it posted on behalf of Meghan and Harry. However, bits a pieces of other posts have led people to believe Meghan is in control of the account herself.

Each post is written with a personal tone and even some of the word choices hint that an American is behind the account — “diapers” would be “nappies” if a Brit was at the helm.

9. Meghan was “allowed” into the family because of her “fresh new genes.”

Some believe that Harry was allowed to marry the American divorcee only because the royal family is in need of “fresh new genes,” as one person on the Lipstick Alley “Meghan Markle Conspiracy Thread” wrote.

“[The royals] are so inbred, they needed some fresh new genes in their reptilian family [in reference to the other conspiracy that the royals are actually reptilian aliens].”

“Also they wanted to seem more [progressive] by allowing a half black woman into their family and allow a fresh new image,” the theorist added.

10. Meghan was sent home because of her shoes.

During a visit to Fiji in 2018, Markle wore a pair of wedges to a public meet-and-greet that was scheduled to be 15 minutes long. However, the meeting was cut off at 6 minutes.

People speculated the Queen, who despises wedges, ordered her to go home and change her shoes.

But this rumor was debunked — the event was cut down due to a security risk.

11. Kate and Meghan are in a bitter feud.

Since Meghan and Harry’s engagement, British tabloids have been obsessively reporting on a feud between the royal sisters-in-law. In fact, the rumors are so loud that TLC aired a special called Kate vs. Meghan: Princesses At War? As touched upon in tabloid stories and the docuseries, Meghan reportedly made Kate cry when they argued about Princess Charlotte’s wedding ceremony dress. And Kate also supposedly hates how Meghan deals with the royal family’s staff.

However, these rumors are seemingly just rumors.

The two duchesses may not be besties, but according to insiders, they don’t despise each other. Perhaps we should stop pitting women against each other, huh?

12. Meghan used fertility treatments to get pregnant so quickly.

Meghan and Harry announced their pregnancy just six months after the royal wedding. With Meghan being in her late 30s, some found it surprising that she was able to get pregnant so quickly after tying the knot. The only “logical” conclusion was that she began undergoing fertility treatments immediately after the wedding, right?

Um… maybe. However, others speculate that she and Harry were planning ahead and preparing to conceive before their wedding date.

But also, who cares if they did use fertility treatments or not? It’s completely a woman’s own business how she goes about getting (or not getting) pregnant.

13. Meghan is actually an undercover Middleton sister.

Another conspiracy theorist on Lipstick Alley’s “Meghan Markle Conspiracy Thread” noted the striking similarities between Meghan and Kate Middleton’s sister Pippa. We’ve never noticed this before, but now we can’t unsee it.

Perhaps those “fresh new genes” Markle supposedly brought to the party aren’t so fresh after all.

14. Meghan is a bad influence on Harry.

British reporters have complained that the always-lively Prince Harry has become grumpy post-marriage, and is taking himself too seriously. The Sun’s Duncan Larcombe spoke to Page Six about Harry’s recent change. “All of Harry’s staff have always thought he was fantastic, but the two of them [together] are high maintenance,” he said.

Larcombe added that Harry has also become “aloof from his own inner circle of staff. Harry was always very pally with [them], so this is very unlike him.”

It’s speculated that Meghan is taking her frustrations with her new life out on her husband. “As an actress, Meghan expects perfection,” Larcombe said. “But when you’re in the royal family, you have to learn that it’s not about you, it’s about what you represent.”

15. Meghan is a total diva and is demanding that the royal family defend her.

Rumors spawned from the royal wedding gave the public the impression that Meghan is a diva. She wanted to wear a specific tiara, and wasn’t going to take no for an answer.

Others have reported that she is stern with her personal staff and is unafraid to demand perfection.

Meghan also supposedly knows about her diva traits and has asked that the royal family defends her, however, we haven’t really seen anyone speak out about that. So, who’s to say if this is real or not?

16. Jack the Ripper is Meghan’s cousin.

In 2018, a British docuseries called Meet the Markles uncovered that Meghan is a distant relative of H. H. Holmes — America’s first serial killer. Holmes reportedly killed 27 people in the late 1800s in his “Murder Castle,” a three-story hotel in Chicago he specifically designed to use to get away with murder. He is believed by some to actually be Jack the Ripper, the mysterious murderer who haunted the streets of London around the same time that Holmes was murdering in the Murder Castle.

Oddly enough, there is another theory that Prince Albert, the grandson of Queen Victoria, is actually Jack the Ripper. Whichever theory, if any, are true, the royal family is stuck with Jack the Ripper no matter what.

Life as a royal was looking so ideal before learning the length some conspiracy theorists go in order to tarnish a person’s image. But as she does with everything, Meghan has handled all the speculation with grace.
