Never Pour Grease Down The Sink
Don’t drain the grease into your sink! The fat can cause a build-up in your sink which may lead to blockages, bad smells, and keep your disposal from working. Don’t put it outside either, you’ll attract unwanted flies and animals to the area.
Cook Your Eggs
Tired of bland eggs? After frying up your bacon, throw your morning eggs into the pan filled with the excess bacon grease. Viola, tasty eggs!
Store it in a Sealed Container
Pour the bacon grease into a sealable container and store in the fridge or at room temperature. Bacon grease will store up to about 3 months. Make sure to use a strainer before pouring any of the oil into a container. Bacteria can’t grow in fat, but it can grow if any tiny pieces of bacon are left in the container.
Freeze
Finished with the grease? Once cooled, pour bacon mixture into an ice tray and freeze. Whenever you need to add a dash of flavor to your savory dish, throw in your bacon grease ice cubes for a tasty treat.
Remove
Throw it in an old milk jug and throw it away!
