KFC’s “Bird Box” Meme Will Completely Change The Popular Netflix Film For You

KFC bird box meme

The only way you’ve missed the meme storm brewing around Netflix’s Bird Box starring Sandra Bullock is if you’ve been blindfolded for the past few weeks (you see what we did there?). Bird Box has blown up on the interwebs and the latest account to take a swing at creating the next best Bird Box meme is the KFC Singapore Twitter account. Yes, that’s right — KFC Singapore. And TBH, they knocked it out of the park.

If you haven’t already seen the film, then you should probably stop reading this and get to it. Sandra Bullock stars as Malorie, one of the remaining warriors in our post-apocalyptic world in which sight can lead to suicide. During a major chunk of the film, Malorie and her supporting cast sport blindfolds to avoid meeting eyes with whatever creature lurks outdoors. This image has inspired many meme lords to photoshop blindfolded Malorie in the mall (“Me passing Sephora”) or on the heads of football players who made bad plays.

However, KFC Singapore took a different route. They focused in on the “bird box” aspect of the film and all of the sudden, the plot had an entirely different meaning.

“The only you need. #KFCsg,” the chain tweeted.

Literally us right now:

What if Malorie didn’t have birds in a box that sensed danger? What if she had a bucket of fried KFC chicken and said, “IDC what’s happening. At least I have some good food with me”? The movie probably wouldn’t have done so well, huh?

The tweet, which has been liked over 250 times, is really opening people’s eyes.

Because many were confused.

Well done, KFC Singapore. You certainly win this round of Bird Box memes. Here are a few of our favorite runner-ups:

Lol — leave the blind driving to the professional creature fighters.

All this talk about Bird Box and KFC has made us hungry.
