The latest addition to the Simpson-Johnson family has arrived. Jessica Simpson gave birth to daughter Birdie Mae Johnson on March 19th, and everyone who’s anyone has sent her well-wishes on Instagram. Even Cinnabon got in on the celebrations — except, the comment the company made has left us feeling, um, weird.
“We are so happy and proud to announce the birth of our perfect daughter, Birdie Mae Johnson,” Simpson captioned Birdie’s birth announcement. “3.19.19 10 Pounds 13 Ounces.”
Simpson, the now mom of three, has been vocal on social media about her battle with pregnancy-induced acid reflux, four cases of bad bronchitis, and painful swollen feet (which she used cupping to deflate).
So TBH, all of her followers are relieved Birdie is finally here, so that her mama’s body can finally start to heal.
“I am on my way to healthy and counting down the days to see [Birdie’s] sweet smile,” Simpson captioned a March 3rd post, in which she updated her followers about her latest bronchitis diagnosis. “Sending love and prayers to all the mothers who are going or have gone through this. OUCH.”
And Simpson received some serious love from her friends, family, and fellow mothers when she announced Birdie’s birth today, March 20th.
Busy Phillips kindly welcomed Birdie to the world. “Baby Birdie” has us weeping.
Schitt’s Creek’s Dan Levy complimented Birdie’s choice of birthday.
Birdie just made the Pisces season (February 19th to March 20th).
Actress January Jones gave a cheer for Birdie’s arrival. Hearts galore, of course.
“I root for you forever!!!” Lena Dunham commented on Simpson’s post. Same here, actually.
And then there was Cinnabon, who called Birdie “the most perfectly baked little bon.” Stop.
We can’t believe you guys just called Birdie a bon. She is a baby, not a bon!
Don’t get us wrong — we understand what Cinnabon was trying go for. It’s the whole bun in the oven pun. But like…

Don’t get us wrong — we understand what Cinnabon was trying go for. It’s the whole bun in the oven pun. But like…
After doing some digging around on Cinnabon’s socials, we can see they try to use a bon pun whenever they can.
“Saturdays are for the bons?”
Psht…
We’re not too sure what, when, how, or why bons blush. But we don’t like the sound of that.
This Valentine’s Day bon pun is fine. We guess…
Cinnabon has “bonconditional love” for their followers. That’s enough.
But then why, Cinnabon, why is this caption not “all bondled up?”
Where is the consistency?!
Where is it?!
We’re losing it. We’re really glitching out over the puns.
What started as a simple scroll through Jessica Simpson’s Instagram comments has ended with us spiraling out of bontrol.
Okay, we need to cool down.
Congrats to Simpson, and bon voyage to Cinnabon. It’s not you, it’s us.
