Starbucks’s New Green “Christmas Tree” Frappuccino Is Very, Very Extreme

Add this to the growing list of Starbucks Frappuccinos that have given us mixed feelings — no pun intended. Starbucks Japan recently released a Pistachio Christmas Tree Frappuccino and, depending on your taste buds, it may make or break your 2018.

On December 5th, Starbucks Japan announced the arrival of their Pistachio Christmas Tree Frappuccino. We’ll admit — the drink is kawaii AF. Served either hot or cold, it’s a blend of three crisp, fresh, and delicious flavors that kind of work together…?

Crushed macadamia nuts make up the foundation of the Pistachio Christmas Tree Frapp. Then, a whipped pistachio frappuccino mix is dolloped on top. The drink is then finished off with a swirl of whipped cream and a drizzle of raspberry sauce, which adds a perfect Christmasy contrast.

And just like its name implies, this drink looks just like a Christmas tree, and we guess, tastes just like pistachio ice cream with raspberry syrup…our grandma’s favorite.

Okay, okay, we won’t knock it ’til we try it. We should honestly trust Starbucks Japan. The rest of their winter menu is truly something to fawn over. Besides the Pistachio Christmas Tree Frappuccino, Starbucks Japan also offers a hot chocolate Frappuccino called White Chocolate Snow. Its white chocolate body is topped with marshmallows and silver chocolate pearls to evoke that magical white Christmas feeling.

Here’s the Pistachio Christmas Tree Frapp:

Here are more photos of the drink if you’re still not sure how to feel.

It’s just so…green.

But also pretty.

It would probably look super cute on our IG feeds:

This is what it looks like hot, in case you’re not in the mood for an icy beverage in the middle of December:

And here’s the White Chocolate Snow Frapp:

It really looks like sugar snow.

Also would be very cute on our IG feeds.

Those pearls are SO extra:

It looks like you can request yours to be topped off with chocolate syrup:

Both of these beverages are almost too beautiful to drink. Maybe if we’re good, Santa will pick us up one of each of Starbucks Japan’s treats on his way over to the States on Christmas night. Our fingers and toes are crossed.
