What happens when you spend all day getting ready for the Oscars, getting to the Oscars, walking the Oscars red carpet, sitting through Oscars speeches, and going to Oscars afterparties? Well, you probably get pretty hungry, right? That was the case for Crazy Rich Asian’s Gemma Chan, who used her awesome fuchsia Valentino gown pockets — which, for the record, we all want more gown pockets, please! — to store cookies for the night.

Gemma is a genius.

Entertainment Tonight asked the actress about her pockets post-show, to which she responded, “I have some cookies. It’s a long ceremony… I had some rice crackers in the other one.”

Then, she mentioned that attendees don’t actually get dinner.

That’s a long, long day without food, but attendees are treated to a feast after the show (more on that below).

As Entertainment Tonight tweeted, “Gemma Chan just pulled COOKIES out of the pockets of her #Oscars dress. THAT is what we call a QUEEN.”

Even Chan herself admitted she was famished. Check out her tweet:

Let’s take another look at that dress-turned-cookie-jar. It’s glorious.

And in slow-motion. Thanks to E! Red Carpet for capturing this look.

Apparently, she wasn’t the only one with pockets. Look at all the pockets!

As for Gemma’s afterparty look…

And another pink moment we can’t get enough of…

After the awards ceremony, the Governor’s Ball does actually serve food. Look at this menu via Wolfgang Puck:

Look at the goods: Wagyu beef, smoked salmon, and sea urchin with caviar. Yum.

Ever wonder what an Oscars after party is like? It looks there is lots of delicious, delicious food pic.twitter.com/dlL6KG1rDq

They also made a Golden Champagne Strawberry Push-Up Pop, topped with Pop Rocks! God exists.

Look at this fruit spread. Those are golden apples.

Here’s the Wolfgang Puck catering team prepping black truffles. Yum.

And just feast your eyes on these smoked salmon Oscars-shaped snacks. Incredible.

Speaking of food, loads of people thought Emma Stone’s dress was… strangely tasty-looking. Bacon? Waffles?

Not quite sure why this dress (assume @LouisVuitton) on Emma Stone is giving so many people food vibes. I'm getting something more avian, myself. #Oscars pic.twitter.com/0kVIatR2sa

Apparently, some people also see a honeycomb. It’s not entirely wrong…

If the Oscars taught us anything, it’s this: If you’re hungry, get yourself a snack that you look at like Lady Gaga looked at Bradley Cooper after their amazing performance.

I mean…

Thanks to Gemma Chan for reminding us to wear pockets and keep a snack around.

It’s a long wait before the deliciousness of the after-party!
