It must be pretty incredible to be Taylor Swift. After all, she just spent a majority of last year on one of the most talked-about tours in quite some time. If you don’t believe me, check out her special on Netflix that dropped on New Year’s Eve. It’s like she knew everyone would want to ring in the new year with some amazing tunes.
Aside from the music, people were also talking pretty heavily about the outfits that Swift wore while on stage. She sparkled, glimmered, and made sure all the attention was on her. But even though her tour clothes screamed “boss” (which she is, for the record), she chose an incredibly romantic, damsel-like look for the TIME 100 Gala in New York City. The Gala happened this Tuesday, April 23rd, and Swift’s dress was simply gorgeous.
The colors may even bring a bit of nostalgia for any ’90s kids out there. Even though the look is sweet and sugary like a cupcake, the overall dress is a better match with Trix yogurt.
Don’t believe me? Well, check out this comparison. First, here’s the singer’s pale pink and yellow ensemble, complete with an all-too-dreamy crown:
And here are some of the popular pastels of Trix Yogurt. It’s was almost too pretty to eat.
Still not seeing it? Well, this might change your mind. Making and playing with slime online is becoming a harmless obsession between some people, and this color duo is oddly called “Trix Yogurt.”
Something about that color duo reminds people of strawberry and banana. They’re two good colors (and flavors!) to pair together, which Taylor Swift obviously agrees with.
And speaking of nostalgia… Don’t these Trix yogurt slimes kind of remind you of Nickelodeon Gak?
It seems like our old Gak has a brand new purpose. These days, it’s been used to create colorful ASMR videos. If you’re unaware, these are videos that use sounds to trigger a tingling, often relaxing response in our bodies.
But, enough about slime. Let’s talk more about Swift’s beautiful dress. Yesterday, she posted a teaser of what the back looked like on her Instagram account.
And today, more and more people are getting to see the front, as well as the full color scheme. Taylor Swift could easily be a Disney princess with this look.
She’s already inspired artists to get out their supplies. How gorgeous is this?
Swift appeared to wear the gown all night. During the event, she got on stage to sing, while showing off how great she looks in pastels.
It’s a great way to make headlines right before even bigger news. Rumor has it that Taylor Swift may be dropping a brand new single on April 26th. If you were around when “Look What You Made Me Do” debuted, you’ll know she might end up crashing the internet when she does.

The Trix yogurt dress was made by J. Mendel. She teased online that she’d be wearing pastels a few days beforehand, with photos like this:
(And judging by the caption, it’s possible a pastel-themed music video will also launch on the 26th. However, fans will have to wait, since Swift isn’t one to reveal big secrets beforehand.)

Hopefully, Swift isn’t all that offended by the Trix yogurt comparison. She’s not the first, or last, musician to be compared to the once-loved treat.
Even Nicki Minaj has gotten the comparison before. But it’s kind of a compliment.
Plenty of fans realized that the color choice matched their breakfast back in the day. At least we all know that the Trix Rabbit definitely approved of the singer’s dress choice.

All in all, it’s just proof that Taylor Swift can literally rock any look. From business casual to dreamy princess, it’s almost like fashion was made just for her.
