Reality TV stars get paid to show audiences all the ins and outs of their daily lives.
Whether it’s fancy socialites throwing extravagant parties, the average person can only dream about attending, romantic hopefuls looking for love among dozens of people, or a bunch of strangers who are thrown into a beach house together, these people show viewers some truly out-there scenarios. But sometimes the most ridiculous reality star moments happen when the cameras are off.
That’s when reality stars show their even truer colors, and that’s when some have even gotten kicked out of restaurants and other public places.
Some people are just good at creating a scene and attracting an audience wherever they go. Sometimes it’s because they’ve gotten too rowdy, and sometimes it’s because of a simple issue with hygiene. But no matter the reason, these reality stars made themselves known – and unwelcome – in a bunch of public places.
These reality stars who got kicked out of restaurants and other public places have made themselves famous for grabbing attention in a variety of ways.
1. Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton was known as one of the most famous party girls of the early 2000s, especially thanks to her TV show The Simple Life.
She lived up to the Party Girl title when she got banned from Wynn Las Vegas in 2010.
Hilton was arrested on felony drug possession charges after a bag of cocaine fell out of her purse at the hotel. She claimed that it was the 0.8 grams of cocaine weren’t hers, and that she thought “it was gum.”
Hilton continued to deny that the drugs were hers, and she even took to Twitter to deny her charges.
She tweeted, “These rumors going around are so ridiculous, untrue and cruel. I’m not going to even pay attention to them, because I know the truth.” It’s too bad that those “rumors” kept her from stepping foot in the Wynn Las Vegas again.
She was also banned from all Wynn Las Vegas properties, including the resort Encore.
Some sources claimed that Hilton was also barred from multiple Las Vegas night clubs. A club executive said, “Considering she’s busted for cocaine, people might assume that she’s going to the club either to use coke or she’s already on coke, and no club wants to be associated with that.”
2. Ozzy Osbourne
Ozzy Osbourne earned his nickname “The Prince of Darkness” in a number of ways throughout the end of the 20th century. One of the most memorable was when he got banned from the entire city of San Antonio, Texas.
The Osbournes star was banned from San Antonio in 1982 for allegedly urinating on the Alamo monument.
At the time, he was wearing a dress because his wife Sharon had hidden all his clothes to try to keep him from going outside. He couldn’t be stopped, but he could be stopped from returning to the city.
The ban was lifted in 1992 when Osbourne donated $10,000 to the Daughters Of The Republic Of Texas.
He also returned to the city in 2015 to film a historical TV show for the History Channel alongside his son Jack.
The show was called Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour and aired from 2016 to 2018.
San Antonio councilman Roberto Treviño said, “Certainly, as a city, we feel very, very good about his efforts to come to our great city and apologize for the actions of a not-so-sober person.
3. The Kardashians
This is pretty bizarre.
While a lot of people would be excited to welcome the country’s most famous family, the Hamptons didn’t want them anywhere near their town.
“Producers really wanted to film Kim, Khloe and Kourtney having lunch or dinner at Nick & Toni’s because so many celebrities eat there,” an insider told Radar Online. “They were flatly turned down, even after being told that Kim would be in town for filming.”
“Management for the restaurant made it clear: under no uncertain circumstances would they allow their restaurant to be overrun by a bunch of out-of-town reality stars with cameras in tow,” the source added.
According to the outlet, the ladies were outright banned from popular restaurants and forced to film in Hamptons Bay, which is nowhere near as prestigious or celebrity vacation-worthy.
This sounds like a total nightmare… and really harsh.
In the words of one local to Page Six: “I view [the Kardashian situation] like people viewed the plague in the Middle Age. I just want to survive it.”
4. Heidi Montag
Heidi was banned from her first movie premiere because she was deemed too controversial.
“This is the first movie I’ve ever been in and I can’t walk the red carpet because Jennifer Aniston decided I was too polarizing,” Montag told Us Weekly.
“I’ve been such a huge Jennifer Aniston fan my entire life and it’s just really upsetting that she would do this to me,” she added.
Of course, we’re sure the Friends alum had nothing to do with Heidi being banned from the Just Go With It premiere.
A spokesperson for Aniston told the Daily Mail this is “absolutely false” and “Jennifer has nothing to do with who was or was not invited.”
Something tells us Heidi was trying to capitalize on Jen’s name.
Perhaps, the real reason Heidi was banned from walking the carpet is her role was just too minor.
5. Bobby Brown
Bobby Brown starred on Being Bobby Brown with his late wife Whitney Houston back in 2005, but he returned to the news recently for getting kicked off an airplane.
On Sept. 9. 2019, Brown was removed from a JetBlue flight headed to Boston from Los Angeles.
He was “removed from the aircraft prior to departure after crewmembers observed indications of intoxication,” according to a statement from JetBlue.
Other passengers reported that he wasn’t very disruptive, but he was still removed.
Brown said he needed to get on a plane so he could attend a family member’s funeral. JetBlue issued him a refund, so hopefully, he made it onto another flight.
6. The Whole Jersey Shore Cast
The members of the Jersey Shore Cast are known for causing a scene in lots of places, but nothing was quite as big a deal as the time they were banned from drinking in Italy.
Jersey Shore made the show international by heading to Italy in 2011.
Florence Mayor Matteo Renzi was worried about how the notoriously disruptive cast would act in his city, and he wanted to make sure that they’d be respectful.
Renzi announced a set of restrictions for the Jersey Shore cast, including forbidding them from drinking in bars.
They also were not allowed to visit historic buildings and they were required to interact with “authentic Italian people in authentic cultural settings.”
Even with all the restrictions, the cast was pretty popular in Italy.
“It was pretty insane, those guys were like rock stars. We couldn’t even go down the streets,” said Jersey Shore creator SallyAnn Salsano.
7. Britney Spears
Britney became the target of numerous customer complaints after getting a little bit too enthusiastic about her food.
According to the UK Sun, The X Factor judge smeared her face with a plate of gourmet food.
Eventually, due to complaints from other diners, the hotel finally said “enough is enough” and told her to go.
“The diners were disgusted,” said a Sun source. “You wouldn’t expect that from a teenager in a fast-food joint.”
Apparently other customers were completely disgusted by her actions, and Spears was asked never to return. And this is just her restaurant etiquette–allegedly things didn’t get much better for her outside the dining hall.
8. Jordyn Woods
After reportedly making out with Khloe Kardashian’s boyfriend Tristan Thompson at a house party, Kylie’s former BFF has been excommunicated from the family with regards to business matters.
Almost immediately after the cheating rumors broke, Woods’ security clearance was removed from Kylie’s gated neighborhood and she was kicked off Good American’s Website.
Previously, she was part of the denim brand’s “Good Squad,” since at least 2016.
According to TMZ, Woods, who also had a joint makeup line with Kylie, has severed all future opportunities with the family.
The outlet calls her betrayal “unrecoverable.”
9. Farrah Abraham
A big part of being a reality star is trying to get invited to all the biggest parties. Farrah Abraham got kicked out of one for trying to force her way even after she wasn’t invited.
Lisa Vanderpump hosted a white party at the Capri Hotel in Southampton, New York, in 2015.
It was a hot invite at the time, and so Abraham tried to force her way in. The former Teen Mom star crashed the red carpet along with her mom Debra Danielson.
They even got photographers to take their photos until they were kicked out.
A source said, “Photographers just started taking photos because they figured she was just an unannounced guest. Then publicists started yelling ‘Stop, stop! You can’t be here!’ Most celebrities would be embarrassed, but Farrah kept posing and smiling. She refused to leave!”
Abraham took one more blow when Vanderpump was asked about her later.
Vanderpump told The Daily Dish that she didn’t even know who Abraham was. “I certainly wouldn’t know her if she sat on me,” she said.
10. Rita Ora
It turns out that even celebrities aren’t exempt from dress code requirements at certain restaurants.
In 2017, Rita Ora, who was a judge on Series 12 of X Factor UK, was a guest on The Jonathan Ross Show.
Gordon Ramsey was also a guest, and Ora was asked if she had ever had the chance to eat at one of the celebrity chef’s restaurants. That’s when she admitted that she had tried to eat at a Ramsey restaurant once before, but things hadn’t gone well.
Ora told Gordon Ramsey that she was refused service at one of his establishments.
She explained that the hostess turned her away because she was wearing a tracksuit and tennis shoes. According to Bravo, she was a good sport about it and totally understood that the employee was just sticking with the rules. The singer even refused to tell Ramsey which restaurant had asked her to leave or hint at the location, worried someone would end up in trouble
11. Kim Zolciak-Biermann
Travelling with a big family is tough, and it’s apparently even harder when you’re a reality star. Kim Zolciak-Biermann and her children were kicked off a Delta flight in August 2019, and she got pretty upset about it.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star was flying from Los Angeles to Atlanta with her husband, their dog, and all six of their children.
Zolciak-Biermann’s husband Kroy stayed behind at the check-in gate while she and their kids boarded the plane. But, when Kroy failed to get on the plane in time, the Delta staff removed Zolciak-Biermann’s kids from the plane without her even realizing.
She quickly followed her children off the plane and found them standing all alone.
The children removed from the flight are all under the age of 10, so Zolciak-Biermann was shocked that they had been taken off the plane while she was in the restroom.
The plane took off without the family, who all reunited at the gate.
Zolciak-Biermann was upset over the ordeal and said on her podcast, “I didn’t know what was going on. Who the f— touches my children, removes my bag, and removes my kids from a plane without a parent? Are you out of your f—ing mind? … It’s a criminal thing when you’re taking kids off a plane and people’s bag.”
12. Tara Reid
Tara Reid is an actress and the star of her reality show Taradise, but she also gave a new kind of performance for the passengers of a Delta flight recently.
Reid got kicked off of a Delta flight in 2018 for making a scene over her seat assignment.
She was flying from Los Angeles to New York City, and witnesses say she loudly complained that she’d been given the wrong seat.
She thought she was supposed to have a window seat, but she didn’t and felt cramped.
When she made a scene, Reid was asked to leave. She complied and deplaned with her dog. The flight took off after a slight delay – without Reid on it.
13. Bella Thorne
In an insane episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian’s response to Scott Disick bringing Bella Thorne to his hotel was to practically kick her out of his bed.
She slams Disick for looking “so desperate” with Thorne, and Kendall tells the cameras Disick only did it to make Kourtney mad.
Kim said, “Scott and Bella looked so desperate at the airport, like, who goes to LAX together? It’s not a good look for Scott, at all.”
According to Elite Daily, Kendall replied saying she spoke with Disick about it, and he apparently thought it was a great way to get under his ex’s jealous.
Kendall said, “He talked to me about it. He thinks it is. He was like, ‘I’m doing it to make Kourtney mad.'”
Kim expanded on her thoughts about the whole situation, saying, “I think it’s clear to everyone that Scott is doing this just to try to one-up Kourtney, and that seems super malicious.”
14. Ramona Singer
The Real Housewives of New York are known for their blowout fights, and Romana Singer got right in the middle of one at a holiday party in 2015.
The party started out tame enough at Sushi Roxx in Midtown Manhattan.
Everyone was having a great time, especially Ramona and Sonja [Morgan],” a source said. But, then once the party moved to a more intimate location, Ramona got more riled up.
Ramona attended the more intimate after-party at Dorinda Medley’s boyfriend’s business Madame Paulette.
Some uninvited guests showed up at Madame Paulette, and Ramona got into a heated brawl with them. After she got into a fight with a “6-foot-5 drunk,” she was kicked out of the party.
15. Kail Lowry
People can usually get pretty rowdy at football games, so when Kail Lowry got kicked out of an NFL game for poor behavior, it must have been pretty bad.
The Teen Mom 2 star got kicked out of Lincoln Financial Field during a Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles game.
Lowry was dressed up in Cowboys gear. Reportedly, other fans started insulting her outfit, so she fought back and started shouting.
A security guard told Lowry she had to leave the stadium.
Lowry says she didn’t do anything wrong and that she wasn’t intoxicated, but she still had to miss that day’s game after her unruly behavior.
16. James Kennedy
Being drunk on a plane is rarely a good idea, especially when you start disrupting other people like James Kennedy did in 2016.
The Vanderpump Rules star was kicked off a Southwest flight due to bad behavior.
He was supposed to fly from Las Vegas, Nevada to Los Angeles, California, but the gate attendant wouldn’t let him on because he appeared too intoxicated.
Kennedy was traveling with his girlfriend Raquel Leviss and Vanderpump Rules co-star Lala Kent.
Kennedy got into a shouting match with Kent right before they were supposed to board the plane. While big blowout fights make for good TV, they’re not welcome on planes.
Kennedy was told he couldn’t board the plane because he was “too drunk.”
Kent boarded the plane while both Kennedy and Leviss stayed behind. The couple did eventually make it onto another flight.
17. Kenya Moore
It’s tough trying to figure out how you’re supposed to act as a new mom, but most people usually know not to change a diaper in the middle of a restaurant. Kenya Moore recently had trouble with that.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star was kicked out of a restaurant for changing her daughter Brooklyn’s diaper.
She posed on Instagram, “Last week when I was traveling with Brooklyn, I got kicked out of a restaurant for changing her diaper! OMG, I was so embarrassed. I had no idea about these rules!”
Nobody wants to smell a baby’s diaper while eating, so hopefully, Moore understands the rule now.
She explained that she uses an app called Peanut to help with these new mommy rules, so now she’ll likely have better luck in public places in the future.
