Do you remember back in the day when Burger King released black hamburger buns? In 2015, the company released black Whoppers in celebration of Halloween, and they were pretty spooky. (And reportedly, also did a number on your digestive system.) These days, Burger King is celebrating by releasing a black drink. But the actual flavor might surprise you.
The drink itself is a slushie, which Burger King has offered for some time. But the flavor will likely only last until the end of the holiday. It’s called their Frozen Fanta Scary Black Cherry Slushie, and not going to lie, it looks delicious.
Even better, Bustle reports that you can upgrade your drink by turning it into a dessert. All you need to do is ask them to add vanilla soft serve, and you’ll create something similar to a Gelati over at Rita’s.
Bustle also states that Burger King hasn’t actually announced the drink just yet. But it’s been confirmed, and photos have circulated, meaning that they might be trying to make it a subtle Halloween surprise.
If you’re a fan of black cherry-flavored candies and drinks, this is definitely a Halloween treat you’ll need to grab. And might as well post it on Instagram to help spread awareness.
It seems like Frozen Fanta has been a win for Burger King. Even though this is the first time they’ve unleashed their Scary Black Cherry, they’ve also been known to carry Orange and Lemonade on occasion.
If you’re used to grabbing a standard Coke to accompany your Whopper Jr., you might want to upgrade to a slushie. Who knows? Burger King might actually shake up your whole fast food routine this Halloween.
