The internet is always buzzing about something, and currently, the company Chick-Fil-A is ruffling the feathers of many (pun intended). That’s because Chick-Fil-A decided to discontinue one of their most popular items. Don’t panic — it’s not their heavenly chicken sandwich. It’s the cow calendar. But still, this has left many customers devastated.
This week, the company made an announcement on their website, stating, “Yes, we have made the difficult decision to retire our annual Cow Calendars at the end of 2018. We will continue our commitment to take care of customers and offer new ways for you to interact with Chick-fil-A, including Chick-fil-A One which will have some exciting updates coming this August.” Chick-Fil-A One will be an app, released this year to supply customers with reminders of Chick-Fil-A holidays and deals throughout the year, as the cow calendar did. However, customers are not amused. They want their cow calendar back, now.
The cow calendar has been released, yearly, for as long as anyone can remember, and is apparently very important to Chick-Fil-A customers.
It features visuals of their mascot cow (not sure what his name is, but his handwriting is unforgettable) doing the most outrageous and comical activities. The thought of not being able to the have a calendar featuring a cow skydiving, doing yoga, or rapping has left customers no choice but to get on Twitter and tweet the company their grievances about the end of the cow calendar.
Noooooooooo @ChickfilA. The cow calendar was one of the highlights on my year. pic.twitter.com/MOa21lh9l4

Some customers are sad, while others are offended.
Chick-Fil-A getting rid of the Cow Calendar is the most offensive thing to happen in 2018.

EXCUSE ME @ChickfilA but “retiring” the cow calendar is NOT OKAY!! It’s unfair that my children will have to grow up in a world without cow calendars and I’m mad about it. #CowCalendar #ChickfilA

Chick-Fil-A does have an extensive history of making frequent changes. I’ll admit that I was very upset with the BBQ sauce recipe change a few years ago. Maybe customers are just fed up with the inconsistency.
@ChickfilA hard to believe that the #CowCalendar is going to be gone after this year. So many of my favorites have disappeared over the years like the Brownie, Cole Slaw, Chicken salad. We don't understand? If it is working why change it?

The company is still sticking to their decision admist the #cowcalendar, #savethecow internet protest. Moo-ving on, there’s still a chance to purchase the lastest 2018 Cow Calendar. But after that, we must resort to our phones for all of our Chick-Fil-A news (sigh).
Prefer to make your chicken at home? We have a chicken-stuffed cheesy garlic bread recipe that is out of this world.
It’s the perfect treat yo ‘self meal after a crazy week.
