McDonald’s Just Destroyed Starbucks’s PSL With The Apple Pie McFlurry

Starbucks has some major competition to contend with. McDonald’s Australia just introduced a new fall-flavored McFlurry that’s giving the PSL a run for its money. As Uber Eats Australia revealed on August 26th, the Australian branch of McDonald’s has released an Apple Pie McFlurry that has our hearts beating out of our chests.

The idea to combine the McDonald’s Apple Pie with a creamy vanilla McFlurry was inspired by customer orders via Uber Eats. The app’s site claims that, in Australia, one in four Apple Pies are purchased alongside a McFlurry. To them, it just made sense to team up with McDonald’s to kill two birds with one dessert item.

Uber Eats Australia describes the Apple Pie McFlurry as “creamy soft serve topped with delicious apple pie and warm caramel sauce.” Ahh, heaven.

If you’re lucky enough to be located in Australia during such a joyous time, you can try out the collaborative dessert right now through Uber Eats Australia. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until September 5th to order the treat at your local Aussie McDonald’s restaurant.

And we highly recommend you try this new Apple Pie McFlurry when it’s released. It will only hang around for a limited amount of time, so don’t be the person who missed their shot.

It’s unclear whether or not McDonald’s branches in other regions of the world will hop on this bandwagon. Obviously, we hope they do. But in the meantime, we’ll have to improvise and get crafty with the existing Apple Pie and vanilla McFlurry.
