Nature’s Cereal

Difficulty: Easy • 2 Servings • Total Time: 5 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Florida Orange Juice
  • 1 pint raspberries
  • 1 peach
  • 1 nectarine
  • 1 green plum

Directions:

  1. Prepare the fruit by thinly slicing. 
  2. Arrange the fruit in two wide bowls.
  3. Pour 1 cup Florida Orange Juice into each bowl, and serve!

Sunrise Smoothie Bowl

Difficulty: Easy • 1 Serving • Total Time: 5 Minutes 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Florida Orange Juice, frozen into cubes
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp honey

optional toppings:

  • ½ pitaya, balled
  • honeycomb
  • bee pollen
  • edible flowers

Directions:

  1. In a blender, combine the Florida Orange Juice ice cubes, bananas, greek yogurt and honey. 
  2. Pour the smoothie into a bowl, and add toppings. Enjoy!

Orange French Toast with Infused Whipped Cream

Difficulty: Easy • 2-4 Servings • Total Time: 25 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup plus ¼ cup Florida Orange Juice, divided
  • 10 slices milk bread
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • maple syrup, for serving

Directions:

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, and ¾ cup of Florida Orange Juice. 
  2. Dunk each slice of bread in the egg mixture, letting it soak in.
  3. While the bread soaks, whip the heavy cream until it reaches stiff peaks, about 3 minutes. Gently fold in the remaining ¼ cup Florida Orange Juice until well combined.
  4. On a hot pan over medium heat, fry both sides of each slice in a small amount of neutral oil.
  5. Remove from heat when golden brown, and serve in a stack with a dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of maple syrup.

Orange Croissants

Difficulty: Medium • 2-4 Servings • Total Time: 1 Hour

Ingredients:  

  • 1 1/3 cups Florida Orange Juice
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • puff pastry, thawed

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400ºF. 
  2. In a small saucepan over high heat, combine Florida Orange Juice, cornstarch, sugar, and the egg yolk. Whisk until boiling, about 5 minutes. 
  3. Remove the curd from heat and let chill in an ice bath for 10-20 minutes. Wrap with plastic and chill until needed.
  4. Trim the puff pastry into long triangles.
  5. Spoon a small amount of curd at the base of each triangle, and roll towards the point, creating a crescent shape.
  6. Place croissants on a baking sheet and bake until brown and puffy.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Orange Cranberry Scones

Difficulty: Easy • 2-4 Servings • Total Time: 25 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Florida Orange Juice
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup butter, frozen
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 egg, plus one egg white
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dried cranberries

Directions:

  1. Grate the frozen butter into a medium bowl. Add the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Combine with your hands, working quickly, until the dough comes together in pea-sized pieces.
  2. Whisk together the heavy cream, egg, and vanilla, then add to the flour mixture. The dough will be very sticky, but you should be able to work with it. Add a little more flour if needed.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Shape the dough into a ball, then squish into a disc, about 8” across. Wrap with plastic, and let chill for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
  5. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the Florida Orange Juice and powdered sugar. Bring to a boil and cook down until slightly thickened.
  6. Arrange the chilled scones on a lined baking sheet, brush with the egg white, and bake for about 10-12 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before drizzling the orange juice glaze on top. Enjoy!
