Food Drama Anyone? Netflix is Releasing a New Documentary

With the tagline “The truth is hard to swallow,” Rotten is here to make a statement. Zero Point Zero has blessed Netflix with a food documentary that will be released in January of 2018. It’s a six-part series that will bring awareness to the many problems existing in the food industry and global food chain. This production company is already known for their recent exposure of worldwide food waste in previous films and now they are targeting corruption and fraud.

Netflix has described the film as, “the true crime treatment, diving deep into the food production underworld to expose the corruption, waste and real dangers behind your everyday eating habits. In a world where huge global supply-chains are increasingly intertwined and consolidated, this series starts on your dinner plate… and follows the money to the shocking consequences—intended or not—of regulation, innovation, and greed.” Netflix released the titles of each episode and each one discusses a different subject. The titles are “Lawyers, Guns, and Honey,” “The Peanut Problem,” “Garlic Breath,” “Big Bird,” “Milk Money,” and “Cod Is Dead.”

Farms and farmers are becoming scarce. The origin of produce is becoming mysterious. Also, the food industry is revolving around profit more than nutrition. Watch the trailer for more insight and tune in on January 5th.
