This Student Baked Something Unacceptable Into Her Cookies… And Then Handed Them Out At School

Everyone likes baked goods — especially in the midst of a long school day. But unfortunately, you might have to be a little suspicious if someone hands you a cookie or cupcake during your lunch period. We say that because one student allegedly baked the worst thing ever in her cookies before distributing them, and yes, it’s way worse than laxatives.

Fox40 reported that a student who went to Da Vinci Charter Academy in Davis, California was caught passing out cookies that contained her grandfather’s ashes. According to police, at least nine people ingested the cookies. Hopefully they won’t be haunted for the rest of their lives, since seriously — that’s disturbing.

The cookies were reportedly sugar cookies, which means they likely weren’t spooky Halloween treats. She was reportedly up-front about what they contained, which makes the story even more puzzling.

“This girl is going around telling everyone, basically at this point, that she had brought in these cookies to school with human ashes in them,” an anonymous student told Fox40.

The school’s principal, Tyler Millsap, made a statement once the story started going viral. “The story circulating in the media is something on which I cannot comment, but let me be clear that there is no health risk at to our campus or to any one of our students,” Millsap stated. “I can say that those who were involved are remorseful and this is now a personal family matter and we want to respect the privacy of the families involved.”

Police don’t even know how to handle the situation — that’s how unusual it is.

Nobody was physically hurt or suffered from food poisoning, but emotionally, this likely took a toll. Our fingers are crossed that it’s all a hoax. Otherwise, that’s a rough way to honor grandparents.

If it wasn’t, hopefully the girl in question is getting help. An action like this is vindictive towards both her classmates and family.

If someone hands you cookies and tells you that there are human remains in there, just take them at their word. Eating it is the wrong call. Even if you’re hungry.
