Whether you’re planning your wedding or still waiting for that ring, you’re probably most excited for the honeymoon. If you’re a foodie (and hopefully your spouse is, too) we’ve compiled a list of places with some of the best food to share with the love of your life.

1. Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico

With the region brimming with orchards and vineyards, VdG is quickly becoming one of the best places for wine. The best time of the year to go is from August – October where the vineyards and wineries host pop-ups called campestres that serve meals which perfectly compliment the wines. Gathering traction has been Malva, located at the Mina Penelope Winery which has been providing perfectly grilled seafood dishes.

2. Jamaica

Along with being one of the cheapest destinations to travel for your honeymoon, it also has some amazing food. Being a smaller island, it makes it super easy to get from one point to another, which means easy access to great eats. The most obvious food choice would be jerk chicken, pork, or seafood accompanied by coconut infused peas and rice. For a twist on Jamaican flavor visit Stush in the Bush for local, homegrown vegetarian meals.

3. Colombo, Sri Lanka

If you’re into bold flavor profiles and jaw-dropping scenery, you might want to plan for a Sri Lankan honeymoon. Known for their curry and seafood, Sri Lanka is for the more daring couples. From Fish Ambul Thiyal (sour fish curry) to Egg Hoppers (a pancake-like dish served with egg), this island cuisine is filled with bright bold flavors and culture. Visit The Gallery Cafe where you can view the ever-changing local art and then sit down for an authentic meal.

5. Siena, Italy

The sister city of Florence, Siena is filled with gorgeous architecture and delicious food. Filled with history and nuance, you’ll find the best Tuscan food like Bistecca Fiorentina (a beautifully grilled steak) to Porcini Mushroom Salad. You have to treat yourself to a meal at La Taverna di San Giuseppe where you’ll find an extensive wine list and the Bistecca Fiorentina.

If you’re looking for a spot with a lot of history and culture, definitely make it out to Proto.
