Listen — Lunchables will always be one of the coolest choices at school. Even though they may not be the healthiest or most affordable solution, they still give kids something to crave. No, not ham slices — control.
That’s why it’s pretty darn awesome that Lunchables has created three new meals that’ll be the highlight of every lunchroom. And honestly, they are so appealing that it’s not out of the question for adults to snack on these, too. They’re called “Brunchables,” and they take everything we love about brunch (except for the mimosas) to the next level.
Lunchables knew the best way to create some buzz. They decided to unveil their latest product on April 1st, meaning that nobody knew if the new launch was legit or just clever Photoshop. But, alas. Brunchables are for real.
The first flavors of these breakfast sandwich stackables have been announced as Bacon and Cheddar Cheese, Sausage and Cheese, and Ham and Cheddar. Unfortunately, there’s no egg for a protein boost, but there is a mini muffin that’s pretty adorable.
To confirm that the “prank” was real, the company even went so far as to register and utilize the URL of “brunchablesisreal.com,” which is pretty hysterical.
It’s kind of like they took Lunchables and were like, “Let’s bump this up a notch.” And everyone knows there’s nothing fancier out there than brunch.
Plot twist: It’s REAL. Join a waitlist worth waiting in, so you can give yourself a chance to win the hottest brunch item ever: #Brunchables.

P.S. you only have 72 hours. 😘https://t.co/6CNqOSA8UX pic.twitter.com/9ku6XNWwmK
Lunchables also turned it into a contest to really drive the point home that yes, this is really happening.
I’m sure this was an April fools joke but it really should be real. I would be all about a #Brunchables ! What was your favorite prank from this year? https://t.co/8WAgSdP8rW

I was joking before, but people are really serious about versions with mimosas (which is probably something that can happen with a little bit of home assembly).
Even without it, the announcement got everyone to text their friends. It almost seems weird that it took Lunchables this long to think of an intense spin-off.
Update: even though he doesn’t sound as pleased, I know this 28 year old man is very excited about brunchables. pic.twitter.com/wbVtjloK9z

It’s great to start with three flavors, but can you imagine the possibilities?
us running to get #brunchables like... 🐥 https://t.co/PrNk8sXqqh

Just imagine waffles instead of flatbreads. Or, just straight-up pancakes.
It’s hard to even rank which one looks the tastiest. It’s hard to pass up breakfast sausage, especially when it’s put into a sandwich.
But on the other hand, bacon exists. And ham? Well, that’s just a classic to the brand.

Someone pointed out something that pretty much every fan of The Office will enjoy. They seemed to have had Dwight Schrute name the product.
"Lunchables Brunchables" sounds like a name Dwight Schrute came up with. pic.twitter.com/0tvWtQMF3m

Unfortunately, there aren’t any beet-flavored Brunchables out. Maybe next year.
Yes. There are many. For instance, if your soil is not fertile enough for beet farming, you can't solve the soil issue over spaghetti dinner. It's just common sense.

Do these look like they can compare to the real deal? Well, no. But they do come close.
And if you’re the type of person who tends to oversleep on Sundays, perhaps it’s one of the best options to make sure you get your brunch on in time. It happens to the best of us.
I missed brunch per usual.

So, now the real question: When can we start eating them?
If you put your name on the Brunchables mailing list, Lunchables will send you an email around April 5th with more information. Even better, they may be giving out either free samples or coupons.
What’s better than a Brunchable? A discounted Brunchable.
I just turned down a free lunchable... Smh.. c'mon Shane

Who knew that one day it’d be socially acceptable to eat a Lunchable for breakfast and then another Lunchable for lunch? The world really is a beautiful place.
