McDonald’s Created A Stroopwafel McFlurry, Which Sounds Like The Best Item On Their Menu

McDonald’s hit a home run when they released the McFlurry. First made available in Canada in 1995 before it made its way to the United States in 1998, the soft serve confection has become one of the best post-dinner treats out there. Plus, for all of us McFlurry fans, it’s nice to know that the company is still going strong and introducing new McFlurry flavors as the years go on. As for the one they’re currently testing? It’s a Stroopwafel McFlurry, and it may be their best yet.

Personally, I just heard of the magnificent invention of the stroopwafel a few months back, when United Airlines announced that they’d stop serving them. I got my hands on a box just this weekend, and let me tell you — it was simply delightful. McDonald’s might now be trying to convince upset airline fans that they can still get their stroopwafel fix in the form a McFlurry. What a fantastic (and delicious) strategy, if that’s the case.

Now, the bad news. For those who live in the United States, they’re currently only being tested in Florida. So if you live out of state and order a Stroopwafel McFlurry, the cashier might not totallyunderstand your request.

Still confused about what a stroopwafel is? Simply put, it’s a Dutch treat that looks like a waffle but is typically filled with caramel. You can warm it up with a cup of coffee or enjoy the delicacy on its own. Either way, your sweet tooth will be seriously happy.

Yum. A stroopwafel meeting up with a McFlurry sounds like it’d be a perfect match. It’s hard to envision this product not going national. However, it’s currently only in Miami because it’s one of many menu items from around the globe that’s being tested before a new audience.

According to Foodbeast, items like the tasty-sounding BBQ McShaker Friesfrom Malaysia are also currently available there.

So, if you live in Miami, you might want to go a little food crazy this fall. Who knows if you’ll be able to try out these items any other time?
