Since 2004, Ron and Diana Watson have eaten dinner at the Texas Roadhouse six nights per week. In fact, for the past the fifteen years, the couple has sat at the same booth and ordered nearly the same meal every single time they dine at the Wichita, Kansas location. They’re regulars, to say the least, and Ron and Diana have no plans to change up their routine any time soon.
The Texas Roadhouse regimen all started because Ron admittedly isn’t a whiz in the kitchen, as he told The Wichita Eagle.
Nor did he want Diana to have to cook after a long day at work. So, the Watsons began to hit up the Roadhouse every evening for their only meal of the day.
The only night they don’t eat at the Roadhouse is Saturday, and that’s because Diana works late, and by the time she gets home, the restaurant is too crowded.
Instead, they go to Hog Wild to watch the Saturday reruns of the classic TV show Black Sheep Squadron.
But every other night of the week, the Texas Roadhouse waitstaff, who know the couple quite well by now, take the Watson’s usual orders.
Diana gets the “Roadkill,” a chopped steak with onions and mushrooms, and Ron gets the barbecue chicken breast (or sometimes the pork chop if he’s in the mood).
Even though the meals sound hearty, the Watsons do their best to look after their health. Both Ron and Diana get his-and-hers salads — Diana has a house salad with Ranch, and Ron has an iceberg lettuce salad with Italian.
The couple also ditched the complimentary yeast rolls in order to keep Ron from going up a belt notch.
The staff knows not to bring the basket to the table anymore.
It’s too bad because according to Twitter, those rolls are fire. Like, straight-up gold.
Once you have the rolls, your life will be forever changed. Good luck focusing on anything else ever again.

Even Chili’s is all about the Roadhouse rolls. That’s saying something right there.
Their roll game is pretty tight.

“It’s just about as cheap as going to the grocery store, buying your groceries, coming home, heating up the kitchen and doing the dishes,” Ron told The Eagle about opting to dine out every night.
“If your time’s worth anything to you, it’s about the same as eating at home but you get a lot better service.”
Ron and Diana also receive a 10% discount on their meal due to Ron’s veteran status. Plus, they take advantage of the early bird special offered Sunday through Wednesday.
They arrive around 3 p.m. to grab a full meal for just $9.49.
And having taken advantage of a free-shrimp-skewer-for-a-year promotion, Ron calculates that they will eat 1,560 shrimp this year. Wow.
It seems like Ron and Diana have the right idea eating at Texas Roadhouse every night of the week (except Saturday).
The place is much loved by those who go there regularly.
Even the butter has a fanbase. Just the butter!

That’s the tweet
Wow… that’s a metaphor we want to understand and agree with. Get us to that butter.

You can throw peanut shells on the ground. Bad news for those who are allergic, but great news for the rest of us.
Not sure what the hype is, but you can definitely throw peanut shells on the ground like a cave man

And on your birthday, the staff makes you sit on a saddle and the entire restaurant yells “yeehaw” at you.
Honestly, it’s a bit nightmarish, but we kind of like that.
It was my cousins birthday today and we had his birthday dinner at Texas Roadhouse and he got so embarrassed about them telling the people it was his birthday!!!!!!!!! pic.twitter.com/oDB36Kw2D9

It’s honestly hard finding any info about other Texas Roadhouse food besides the rolls. Perhaps they should just open up a bakery and call it a day.

And listen — the Roadhouse isn’t afraid to toot their own horn. Toot toot, honey.

If you’re in the Wichita area and happen upon a Texas Roadhouse, take a look around to see if Ron and Diana are at their usual spot.
But eat your rolls at your own table. Don’t tempt Ron — that would just be mean.
