The snack that smiles back just did something so right (as if Goldfish could do anything wrong). Pepperidge Farm just revealed their new Goldfish Epic Crunch and come January 2019, this snack will make every day a fiesta.
Instagram food blogger Junk Food Mom caught wind of the new flavor and shared the tentative packaging on her page. “Coming in January 2019 new Pepperidge Farm Epic Crunch Goldfish,” Junk Food Mom captioned her post. “A mash up of Goldfish and crunchy nacho tortilla chips. Sounds interesting…”
Goldfish and crunchy nacho tortilla chips in one single bite? This isn’t just interesting — it’s genius.
The packaging clearly shows our favorite little finned friend coated in some sort of nacho spice mix. And the “tortilla crunch” makes us think that the Goldfish crackers will actually be made with a tortilla chip recipe. If our prediction is correct, how bomb would these guys be in a semi-spicy chili or atop your hard-shelled taco with all the fixings? They might just give our old pal Cool Ranch Doritos a run for their money.
Junk Food Mom wrote that Epic Crunch Goldfish will hit grocery store shelves in January 2019. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too long to see if they’re as epic as we believe they’ll be.
The Epic Crunch Goldfish are a completely different entity than their Flavor Blasted cohorts. Sure, there’s going to be a flavor blast of nacho pizazz on these babies, but we wonder if Epic Crunch will become a totally new line of Goldfish.
Pepperidge Farm could definitely roll out a zesty lime Epic Crunch flavor. Or perhaps keep it simple with plain salted Epic Crunch Goldfish. (Just a few ideas for you, fellas.)
