Justin Bieber May Be The Reason Why Double-Stick Popsicles Are Making A Comeback

The official start of summer might still be 28 days away, but warmer temps are already making us nostalgic for all the trappings of the season. Ya know, things like taking poolside selfies, enjoying a classic summer cookout, or hurriedly indulging in a sweet and sticky dessert before it melts all over everything. And if your summer treat of choice is one of those double-stick ice pops we all remember fondly, we’ve got some good news. Thanks to pop star Justin Bieber, the quintessential summer refreshment could be making a comeback.

Just days before Memorial Day, everyone’s favorite Canadian singer-songwriter tweeted at Popsicle’s official Twitter account, asking the brand to bring back its double-stick ice pops of yesteryear, according to Today. Bieber was reportedly chatting with his manager, Scooter Braun, when the two realized they couldn’t track down a box of the frozen confections. Even after an exhaustive search of Amazon and other websites, the pair (sadly) came up short. What else could they do but go straight to the source?

Bieber’s tweet was an earnest plea for Popsicle to restore order to the universe.

“Talking with @scooterbraun and we just realized we can’t find double stick popsicles!! This is crazy. @Popsicle we need those back!”

Braun, too, issued his own strongly worded SOS on Instagram.

The following day, Popsicle responded to the Biebs and his manager, promising to “see what [they] can do” to fulfill their request.

The struggle is seriously real, y’all — and we’re not the only ones who think so.
