Dreams do come true. Cold Stone Creamery cereal is hitting grocery shelves this month, and if you’ve ever thought how great the world would be if only cereal tasted a little bit more like ice cream, you’ll finally get a taste. Thanks to Malt-O-Meal, it’s finally acceptable to eat ice cream for breakfast — because this ice cream is in cereal form.
Get ready for two new flavors that sound delicious and perfect for summer: Birthday Cake Remix and Strawberry Blonde. The birthday cake flavor is made with cake batter cereal and mixed in with chocolate marshmallows, and Strawberry Blonde a mix of honey graham cracker and strawberry-flavored cereal with marshmallows. Both sound completely over the top and wonderful, and even if this is too much sugar for your morning, maybe you can get really meta and sprinkle these flavors on top of some of your fave ice cream. Just a suggestion!
While we don’t know the exact date, we know both Cold Stone cereal options will be available this month. We’ll be following food blogger Snack Cellar, who originally broke the news, for any updates. Maybe Malt-O-Meal will offer up a Sweet Cream cereal next.
Cereal lovers have had it pretty good lately. A couple weeks ago, Froot Loops announced they’d be adding a new flavor to the mix (Wild Berry!), and Cap’n Crunch is offering a limited-edition summer flavor called Beach Bash Crunch (which apparently tastes just like Crunch Berries).
