Back in December 2018, we teased that a massive collaboration between Oreo and Baskin-Robbins was imminent in 2019. It looks like the time has come. Mint Chocolate Chip Oreo is officially happening and will most likely be released to the public within the coming weeks.

On April 5th, the junk food review Instagram account @junkbanter shared a first look at the Mint Chocolate Chip Oreo package. As predicted back in December, the new sandwich cookie has two layers of creme — one mint, one chocolate. And both creme layers are loaded with mini chocolate chips.
“New flavor 3101 will be Baskin Robbins Mint Chocolate Chip Oreo, coming some time this year (summer timeframe is as good a guess as any),” @junkbanter wrote in their caption. “This will have both mint AND chocolate cremes studded with chocolate chips.”
@junkbanter speaks for all of us when they demand Oreo continue their partnership with Baskin-Robbins. Just imagine the flavors they could come up with: Bourbon Street Pecan Pie Oreo, Icing on the Cake Oreo, Oregon Blackberry Oreo. Our heads are spinning with possibilities!
While we wait for more collaborative cookies, we’ll gladly binge on a package of Mint Chocolate Chip Oreos — or two. Or five.
And we definitely won’t be partying with these cookies alone. Everyone is excited for this brand mashup.

As Instagram user @markie_devo said in his original announcement back in 2018, “I’m a mint-loving psychopath, so these will for sure be in my mouth.” We second that.
Oreo is up to a lot of good stuff in 2019. Not only are they blessing us with Mint Chocolate Chip Oreos, but they’re also giving us Maple Cream Oreos this coming fall.
According to @junkbanter, “Bring on the new Maple Creme Oreos, debuting some time this year (I’d have to guess this will be a late summer release in advance of the fall season).” Although it’s true that this is “not exactly the most creative flavor,” as @junkbanter put it, Oreo will knock it out of the park, anyway.
And an insider already confirmed that these guys are good.

We’ll also be getting Marshmallow Moon Oreos, which sound absolutely stellar. “Marshmallow Moon Oreos will also launch this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the possibly fake moon landing,” @junkbanter wrote. Lol. Cheers to conspiracy theories.
It’s unclear what the flavor of these Oreos will actually be, but we have to assume that the creme filling will be marshmallow flavored. And as stated on the package, the lettering on the Oreo bag will glow in the dark.
Perfect for our late-night snacking purposes.

All three upcoming Oreo flavors sound divine. However, we’re still majorly stoked about the Mint Chocolate Chip Oreo because, duh, mint chocolate chip ice cream reigns supreme.
