You Will Never Make Boring Cinnamon Rolls Again After Hearing This Dessert News

While cookies and brownies are go-to desserts to bake as the weather gets colder, you don’t want to forget about cinnamon rolls. Sure, they’re a bit more extravagant — but they’ll make your house smell like you’re walking in front of a mall Cinnabon. And even better, that smell will last way longer than 10 seconds.

Cinnamon rolls are a delicious treat, but they’re probably not the first baked good you think of for a few reasons. One being, you rarely crave them until you smell them. And you can’t smell them until you bake them. Such a quandary. Luckily, Pillsbury managed to take the idea of a cinnamon roll and make it even more exciting. First, they changed up the flavor. And then, they changed up the infamous glaze. Ladies and gentlemen, may I present… hot cocoa rolls, with marshmallow icing!

This isn’t the first time this year that the limited-edition rolls have been available. It looks like they popped up in stores like Walmart and Krogers this past January. So, it’s pretty obvious that Pillsbury wants to make these rolls a winter staple. This time around, they were spotted at Target.

While you can eat as many rolls as you want, it’s probably important to know some of the nutritional facts before going cocoa roll crazy. Pillsbury’s website says that each roll contains 300 calories, 7 grams of fat, and a fair amount of sodium. And that’s just for the glazed roll — not the hot chocolate that’s somewhat mandatory to drink alongside it.

Even though they might look a little like cinnamon rolls, they don’t taste anything like it. They’re more like the cinnamon roll’s cousin who only pops up around the holidays. Speaking of, since each container makes five hot cocoa rolls, you may want to consider adding some cinnamon rolls to your platter for when guests come to visit. Or, you can just stick with the five cocoa rolls and share them with nobody. The choice is yours.
