Oreo has been everywhere these days. They’ve experimented with amounts of filling, have already announced a new peppermint bark flavor for the winter, and are also coming back in candy cane form. So, it should be no surprise that our fave sandwich cookie is going to infiltrate another candy favorite — but not until next year. The U.K. is scheduled to get Oreo Creme Eggs in January, and they’re expected to last all the way until April. So, consider this an early Easter surprise.
While it’s technically a new product, those in the U.K. have been able to taste them before — sort of. The Oreo Creme Eggs were once available in miniatures. This product is bigger, thus more substantial in creme filling.
“We are constantly listening to what our customers want and we know fans went wild last year when they heard about the Oreo Egg,” Aislinn Campbell, brand manager at Cadbury, said to Good Housekeeping. “So for Easter 2019 we are bringing this to the U.K. and we cannot wait for everyone to try it!”
So, what do you do if you don’t live in the U.K.? Well — either make a new friend, or hope it pops up on Amazon. The miniatures have a listing, and it looks like there are a few sellers who’d love to ship them to the United States for a fee.
As you can see, size was one of the biggest issues last time around.
These will be a nice treat for those who don’t want to eat three or four minis to get the real Oreo Creme Egg experience. It’s also a great way to start 2019 right.
