Just So You Know, Doritos Has Pickle-Flavored Chips. That Is All.

Everyone knows that ancient and true proverb that goes something like, Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day. Give us Cool Ranch Doritos and we’ll love you forever. Cool Ranch Doritos will always hold a special place in our hearts, but a new kind of Doritos has caught our attention, and the flavor is very much on trend.

Please welcome Doritos Intense Pickle Tortilla Chips to the party. That’s right — pickle-flavored Doritos are a thing and people are literally eating them up. They’re tangy, briny, and packed with “explode-in-your-mouth” flavor, as the Doritos website claims.

To be fair, Intense Pickle isn’t exactly a new flavor of Doritos. In fact, Bustle traced its origin back to 2011. But hey, we’ve never seen the pickle-green Doritos bag at our local grocery store before. So to us, learning about Intense Pickle was quite the awakening.

And many other Doritos lovers are just now waking up to smell pickles. That’s because Intense Pickle is a flavor that’s hard to come by. In fact, it’s only available for purchase in Canada. Ugh — of course.

This means for those of us living in the U.S., or anywhere else that isn’t Canada, we either have to hop the border or buy Intense Pickle Doritos from third-party sellers on Amazon (you can snag some for $15.99).

We’re thinking these chips must be similar to Lay’s Dill Pickle Potato Chips, except less crispy and more crunchy. And that triangle shape really makes all the difference in terms of flavor in our opinion.

Listen, Doritos. We don’t appreciate you holding out on us. In fact, we demand you release Intense Pickle Doritos in the United States or else! We’re dying to see what all the fuss is about.

Love pickles so much you eat ’em straight from the jar? Us, too. That’s why we love this pickle fork so much. It’s literally a fork for your pickles so that you don’t have to dip your fingers in pickle juice all the time. Genius.
