Heart-Eye Emoji: “Love, Oreos” Will Be Here For Valentine’s Day

Love, Oreos

At this point, there are so many Oreo flavors, we need to start classifying them. First, there are yummy seasonal Oreo flavors like Peppermint Bark Oreos. Then, there are strange “just because” Oreo flavors like Hot Chicken Wing Oreos and Wasabi Oreos. (Don’t forget the forthcoming Buttered Popcorn Oreos, a new Oreo flavor that sounds so bad, it might actually be good). And finally, there are holiday-specific Oreo flavors. Because what’s a holiday without a themed Oreo to celebrate? Nothing, that’s what. Valentine’s Day is the next holiday on the horizon, and our favorite cookie company has our back with their newest flavor: Love, Oreos. Aww.

Naturally, you’re probably wondering: What do Love, Oreos taste like? According to the packaging, the cookies have a “sweet and tangy” flavor. Hmm. We like our Oreos sweet, but we’re not sure if we like them tangy. Fortunately, some Oreo lovers have already found the Love, Oreos in stores and described the taste for us on Instagram.

“If I had to compare these to anything, I’d say cherry limeade,” user dadbodsnacks wrote on Instagram. “I want to say it’s kind of a Raspberry Pez flavor,” Instagram user wonkybonkers added. Hmm. It sounds citrusy. We can’t tell if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

If you still can’t quite picture it, Instagram user jameson007 described the flavor as “like if you melted down candy hearts and stuck them between a cookie.” Ah, now that makes complete sense.

Here they are: Valentine’s Day-themed Love, Oreos.

Not gonna lie, we think the packaging is pretty cute.

It fits right in with the Valentine’s Day ~aesthetic.~

We’re sort of in love with that millennial pink creme filling, too.

In addition to their taste, Love, Oreos share something else in common with conversation hearts: a variety of cute designs.

Each package has four different designs. In addition to “Dunk in Love,” there’s also “Let’s Twist.”

We especially love “Dear Cupid, Send Oreo” and “XOXO Oreo,” which you can see if you scroll through below.

But, as we said, people have mixed reviews about Love, Oreos.

Instagram user brilestrange paints quite a vivid picture of the new flavor.

This taste test is hardly a ringing endorsement. Unless you like Fruity Pebbles, of course.

Instagram user macksam70 summed it up well.

Perhaps if you’re not feeling Love, Oreos, you and your Valentine will like one of these other limited-edition treats.

We’re particularly intrigued by the Carrot Cake Oreos.

And the Dark Chocolate Oreos, too.

Our take on Love, Oreos: They may not be the best flavor ever, but they seem like a fun once-a-year treat to enjoy on Valentine’s Day.

And if you love them, stock up, because they’re a limited-edition flavor that won’t be here forever.
