Which Girl Scout Cookies Are Vegan? You’re In Luck

Indulging in an entire box of Girl Scout Cookies in a single sitting is one of life’s simplest pleasures. And yes, vegans, you can partake in this simple pleasure, too. We’ve nailed down which Girl Scout Cookies are vegan and we have good news — some of your all-time faves have made the list.

As of 2019, according to several vegan and vegetarian blogs, there’s a whopping five Girl Scout Cookie varieties that fit within vegan diet guidelines. And thank goodness for that.

The five vegan Girl Scout Cookies are: Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties (from ABC Bakers), Lemonades, Thanks-A-Lot, and S’mores (the chocolate-dipped kind, not the sandwich cookie).

Vegans, rejoice! With a lineup like this, there’s something for everyone. Chocolate-lovers can dig into a pack of S’mores, a crispy graham cookie dunked in crème icing and chocolate; Thin Mints, a chocolate wafer coated in more chocolate; and Thanks-A-Lots, which are shortbread cookies with a chocolate-coated bottom.

Or, try out the Peanut Butter Patties, which consist of decadent peanut butter coated in creamy chocolate. However, watch out for their look-a-likes, Tagalongs. Tagalongs are not vegan, as they contain milk.

And if you’re more of a citrusy type, then tangy shortbread Lemonades are definitely for you.

Now all you vegans can finally relate and participate in the glorious time of the year that is Girl Scout Cookie season.

I bought a bunch of vegan Girl Scout cookies so I could flick them for Instagram and share the new 2019 releases and all three boxes are just ravaged across my kitchen table. Like, i couldn’t leave a full grown adult alone with some cookies.

It’s me. I’m the adult.
