When you go to an amusement park, you think roller coasters, long lines, and a whole lot of kids running around, but would you go to an amusement park for a unique drink that can’t be found anywhere else? Among Starbucks’s many secret menu items (that aren’t so secret any more) emerges a secret menu item you probably haven’t heard of — unless you’ve been to Knott’s Berry Farm.
The Boysenberry Frappuccino is exclusive to the Knott’s Berry Farm theme park. It’s made with boysenberry, as the name suggests, and also features Starbucks’s unique Frappuccino blended beverage. The origin of the tart boysenberry can be traced back to Southern California, which is where the theme park itself can be found.
According to the CP Food Blog, the Boysenberry Frappuccino came about at the 2015 Boysenberry Festival. It was there that Knott’s Berry Farm experimented with the drink at the Gourmet Coffee Hut located inside the theme park. But once the event was over, the favorite drink was taken off the menu and one would have to wait until the next Boysenberry Festival to satisfy their cravings. Fast forward a few years later, and visitors just can’t get enough.
While it’s unlisted, the drink is a favorite for children and adults alike. Unfortunately, you can’t get this flavored drink from any other Starbucks in the United States, but it’s sure worth visiting California for (among the other boysenberry-flavored food choices at the theme park)!
