Okay, when is Meghan Markle going to be canonized by the Pope? She’s truly a saint. After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a meeting with mental health workers at New Zealand’s Maranui Cafe, Markle gave her leftover cake to eager schoolchildren waiting outside for a glimpse of the royal duo. And, like one little boy waiting amongst his classmates, we’re also losing it.
Markle, Harry, and mental health leaders conversed about how to better help the nation’s youth while munching on a platter of cakes and sweets. After the meeting, the group migrated outside where kiddos from the Houghton Valley School sang and waited patiently for the royals to emerge.
After seeing the children all lined up, Markle turned around and went back inside the café to ask the owners if she could give their leftover cakes to the kids. And duh, of could she could! Princess Diana would be so proud.
“They asked us what our names were and also they were really nice and just talked normally to us,” one of the children told New Zealand’s TVNZ. “My legs were shaking so much,” another child added.
One little boy was in such a state that he couldn’t stop crying despite Markle trying to comfort him. Honestly, same.
The royal couple chatted with the children and their teacher before heading to their next location — Abel Tasman National Park. There, they are scheduled to take a hour-long hike and talk about conservation efforts.
Markle and Harry will stay in New Zealand until Wednesday, when they will officially return home to London.
Meghan Markle rushes back into cafe to collect the leftover cakes she and Harry didn't eat for the kids outside. Remind you of anyone??? #MeghanMarkle

They may have just been leftovers, but wow would we do anything to be offered a cake from the duchess’s plate. Remember this forever, kids. Remember this forever.
If you want to get the royal cake treatment, we highly recommend this surprise cake kit.
Yum!
