It’s not all kale and celery juice for celebrities. Celebrities are just like us in the sense that sometimes, their diets aren’t perfect. That means indulging their sweet tooth a little or munching on a bag of their favorite chips. But for other celebrities, it simply means taking the time to do some cooking in the kitchen. Some love it so much, they’ve even created a cookbook or two to share their favorite recipes. And that doesn’t just include the Martha Stewarts of the world. There are celebrities like Snoop Dogg who entered the food scene with cooking shows too. It might seem odd to see celebrities crossing over to the food industry, even if it’s temporary, but we’d be lying if we said we weren’t totally into it.
You may not have a personal chef on standby as most celebrities do, but that doesn’t mean you can’t cook like them. So don’t be afraid to get inspired and try any of these 15 meals and dishes our favorite celebrities love to make.
Meghan Markle — Fish Tacos
In a 2012 interview with Today, Meghan Markle revealed that her California roots made her love Baja-style food.
Which makes it no surprise that one of her favorite foods is fish tacos. And how does the Duchess of Sussex like to make them? She grills peppers, onions, and filets of fish, seasons everything with salt and pepper, and adds lime to all the ingredients stuffed in a warm corn tortilla. “Few bites of food make me happier than that,” Markle said. We wonder if she still chows down on these now that she’s a royal?
Dwayne Johnson — “World Famous” Pancakes
It’s no secret that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson takes his fitness very, very seriously.
According to Men’s Journal, Johnson starts his days bright and early at 4 a.m. to get a workout in. But in an Instagram post, Johnson revealed that he eats a ton of pancakes at night. In the post, The Rock shows his self-proclaimed “world famous” meal is simply made of Aunt Jemima mix, milk chocolate chips, Aunt Jemima syrup, and whipped cream. Talk about a perfect way to carb up.
Kylie Jenner — Garlic Ramen

In 2016, Jenner shared her ramen recipe with her followers and it was surprisingly simple.
“I add Butter, Garlic Powder, and an Egg to my ramen,” Jenner wrote in the Snapchat. She even took the conversation to Twitter to find out how everyone else likes to make their ramen. Some loved her recipe and others weren’t too crazy about it. But that’s okay, Kylie. We’re honestly just glad you can enjoy a pack of instant ramen too.
2 Chainz — Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Loving every hour of #ChefsTable in the making w/ @_ab15__ & his luv of #SousVide cookery. Thx 2 @ChefSteps @SousVide4Life @sousvidetools he made #FriedChicken & 2 Chainz G’ma’s mashed potatoes. @soulphoodie pic.twitter.com/QExeHVmXd0

You might’ve seen 2 Chainz enjoying the finer things in life on YouTube, from drinking a $5,000 bottle of wine to petting a $100,000 dog.
With his extravagant lifestyle, you might be surprised to hear that one of the rapper’s favorite dishes is simply garlic mashed potatoes. But the first step in his recipe? “If wearing a four-finger ring, carefully place it on a side table before starting to cook.” And even though we love a warm bowl of mashed potatoes with a pat of butter, that’s when we stop relating to 2 Chainz.
Chrissy Teigen — Cool Ranch Taco Salad
Chrissy Teigen absolutely loves Doritos.
The supermodel and chef revealed in an interview with Delish that sometimes she’ll even “lick off the nacho cheese seasoning and put the chips back in the bag” to get the flavor without the carbs. But Teigen created a Doritos-inspired recipe that’s a little more substantial than her nacho cheese-licking hobby, and that’s her Cool Ranch Taco Salad, which she featured in her second cookbook, Cravings: Hungry for More.
Martha Stewart — Green Juice
Martha Stewart has most likely made more meals than we can possibly count, but the one thing she can’t live without is her daily green juice.
According to Mashed, Stewart drinks green juice every single day. Not only does she count it as part of her diet, but also part of her beauty routine. In her green juice, Stewart uses fresh ingredients from her garden. “I grow my own spinach all year round,” Stewart said. “I grow my own mint, my own parsley, generally my own cucumbers, my own oranges and lemons, and I always put an orange or a lemon in the juicer for that fabulous taste.” Of course she does.
Kristin Cavallari — Pancakes
The former reality TV Star has come a long way from her days at Laguna Beach.
Now, Cavallari is a mother and says she typically eats what her kids want to eat for breakfast, and they usually love pancakes. “I always change up what I eat — between eggs, a smoothie, or healthy pancakes. I love pancakes so I came up with two varieties in my cookbook — butternut squash pancakes and lemon almond oat pancakes,” Cavallari told ABC News. We can’t say we’ve had either, but they sound deliciously healthy.
Hilary Duff — Salad with Protein

Sadly, this isn’t as exciting as a Doritos-inspired salad.
Hilary Duff typically has a protein-packed salad for lunch, according to Delish. “I love a turkey burger on top of a salad, or, like a piece of fish on top of a salad,” Duff said. “I love French fries with salad. If I’m ordering a salad and it’s really healthy and clean, I’ll always be like, ‘And can we have an order of French fries for the table?'” We respect her love of the fries.
Gwyneth Paltrow — Spaghetti Alla Vongole
Gwyneth Paltrow cooks about four to five times a week, according to Epicurious.
The actress says that she’s most famous in the kitchen for her cioppino and bruschetta but absolutely loves her spaghetti alla vongole recipe. Who knew the actress and wellness guru had a knack for Italian cuisine? However, we imagine that Gwyneth’s might be a bit different from what we’re picturing and probably involves the words: organic, all-natural, gluten-free, non-GMO.
Snoop Dogg — Chicken and Waffles with a Twist
Snoop Dogg took an unexpected turn in his career as a rapper when he stepped into the food game with Martha Stewart.
In his cookbook, he shares his twist on one of his favorite meals: chicken and waffles. In his recipe, he adds BBQ potato chips to buttermilk batter to coat chicken wings and give it a crunchy upgrade from more traditional chicken and waffle dishes. Honestly, this doesn’t sound like a bad idea, and now we’re interesting in seeing what other meals Snoop Dogg has to offer. Should we go ahead and buy From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen?
Kris Jenner — Rice Pilaf
One of the momager’s favorite dishes is a family recipe for raisin and almond rice pilaf, according to People.
In Jenner’s cookbook, In the Kitchen with Kris, she explains that it’s a family heirloom passed down from Robert Kardashian’s mother. Not to mention her grandchildren love it. “It’s the perfect little side dish to any dish we cook for the babies. Whether it’s lamb chops or grilled chicken or even with applesauce,” she says. If it’s good enough for the Kardashian-Jenner kids, then it’s certainly good enough for us.
Oprah Winfrey — Cornbread
It’s actually one of her birthday treats.
On Instagram, Oprah shared how she was celebrating her birthday, and it involved cornbread and black-eyed field peas with rosé. Oprah made her golden cornbread in a cast iron skillet, and it was so good that she helped herself to two servings. Is there really a better way to spend your birthday than eating the food you love with the people you love? I think not.
Reese Witherspoon — Casserole
Everyone has their go-to comfort food and it looks like casserole is Reese Witherspoon’s.
In an interview with It’s a Southern Thing, Witherspoon said she brought her best friend three casseroles (a breakfast casserole, a hamburger casserole, and a taco casserole) when she had a baby. When it comes to preparing the casseroles, it seems pretty easy. “Put it in the freezer and then when people come over, you just pop it in the oven for 35 minutes at 350 (degrees) and sprinkle it with cheese,” Witherspoon instructed. It’s as simple as that.
Lea Michele — Tofu Scramble
It’s a vegan staple for her.
In an interview with Women’s Health, the Glee actress shared that her mostly vegan diet consists of a lot of protein-packed tofu. Although she says she eats fish on occasion, she typically goes for a tofu scramble for breakfast and sometimes adds salsa and a piece of avocado to spice it up. This is definitely a simple dish that can be made in so many different ways and with so many different ingredients.
Ellen Degeneres — Beans and Rice

What does a comedian and TV show host like to eat?
Rice and beans, Ellen’s wife Portia de Rossi told Parade. Since it’s Ellen’s favorite dish, you can find them making the dish often. The simple dish can easily be altered to add a little more flavor with additional ingredients such as vegan sausages and chili powder. Turns out that being vegan doesn’t have to be boring when you know which spices to add to your dish.
