The Internet Had Great Responses To The Question “What Are The Signs Of A Bad Restaurant?”

signs of a bad restaurant

In your opinion, what are some huge red flags that pop up when you walk into a restaurant? For us, it’s easy: dingy carpeting, a foul odor wafting from the kitchen, dead fish in the aquarium, and more cobwebs than customers. Unfortunately, the list could really go on. In August 2017, Twitter asked users to enlighten the world to what the signs of a bad restaurant are, and the responses are horribly hilarious.

Encouraging users to tweet using the hashtag #SignsOfABadRestaurant, the social platform pulled in hundreds of responses that make our stomaches churn and our heads hurt. We really hope these tweets aren’t based on true stories. However, something tells us these Twilight Zone, nightmarish restaurants do, in fact, exist.

Some of our favorite #SignsOfABadRestaurant tweets include:

“You ask for clean utensils and the waiter tells you that’s an extra charge.”

“The staff refuses their free meal each shift.”

“Sushi place with a pizza oven. Yes I’ve been to one.”

Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up.

We hope you’re not very hungry because after scrolling through these tweets you may want to refrain from eating out for a while — and you’ll probably also want to take a shower.

And yes — some even provided photo evidence.

Okay that last one may not have been ~actual~ photo evidence, but you get the gist.

If you have any #SignsOfABadRestaurant, we recommend you share. Sure, these responses are a bit alarming. But for now, we’ll just do our best to laugh through our tears.
