This Photo Of An Unseasoned Chicken Will Make You Feel Uncomfortable

Not so long ago, a clip of Oprah trying to hide her disdain for unseasoned chicken made the rounds. Even though it was filmed on the set of her daytime talk show back in the day, it still made people laugh. Including Oprah herself, who made a point to explain what was going through her head while taste-testing the somewhat bland (yet award-winning) dish. It’s hard to imagine what she’d think about this tweet.

Shared by Baltimore, Maryland resident Cori Healey, this is one dinner that’ll make you order a pizza last minute. Thankfully, the chicken didn’t belong to Healey. But it did hurt her heart, as it was being cooked by her boyfriend’s roommate.

Now first, let’s think of the positives here. For one, chicken is a nutritious and filling meal choice. Secondly, this is hopefully a learning experience for him. As Oprah would have said, even a little bit of salt and pepper would make a huge difference.

But! This chicken is so unseasoned that it almost looks like it’s made out of shiny plastic. So you can’t even argue that the salt is just invisible to the eye. Just see for yourself.

Healey even opened up the oven a little further to give her followers a better look.

The chicken clearly went viral, but the roommate didn’t seem to understand the point. Unless he has a very great sense of humor.

Many people were openly offended by the chicken, hoping that it wouldn’t be eaten in the same naked state.

If there’s any lesson that you should take away from it, it’s this. Seasoning is great, and adds a completely different layer to your dish.

In fact, chicken is so versatile. You could literally eat chicken every day of the week and have it taste completely different due to seasoning and prep. Not to mention which part of the chicken you’re using.

Hopefully, Healey won’t have to witness such a sad scene ever again. Or, maybe she ought to hold an in-house cooking lesson, as it may be life-changing.
