Message Reveal Birthday Cake

  1. Assemble your cake by layering the sponge cakes with swiss buttercream in the color of your choice. Frost the entire cake evenly and chill for 15 minutes.
  2. Write your message on a 7” strip of paper in permanent marker.
  3. Roll out the white fondant and cut it to the same size as the note. Place it on the surface of the cake and then place the note on top. Now cover with a piece of acetate of the same width, leaving it to protrude from one side of the cake.
  4. Frost the top of the cake, covering the acetate strip, and refrigerate for another 10 minutes. Decorate with edible flowers, sprinkles, sugar pearls, or buttercream rosettes. Give this cake to someone special!

Birthday Candle Cupcake

  1. Place a dollop of frosting on each cupcake. Flip the cupcakes over and flatten the frosting on parchment paper. Freeze until the frosting hardens, about 10 minutes.
  2. Divide the remaining frosting into 7 equal parts and dye each one with food coloring: green, pink, purple, blue, red, orange, and yellow. Place them in separate piping bags.
  3. Cover the circumference of each cupcake with mini colored sugar pearls. Use a knife to make lines of different sizes on the surface to simulate candles. Pipe along each line with different colored buttercream and finally, paint the top with yellow to simulate the candle flame.
  4. Place the cupcakes on your birthday dessert table. Your guests will love them!

Birthday Hat Cake Pops

  1. Mix the crumbs of the chocolate cake with cocoa powder and cream cheese until you get a consistent and manageable mixture. 
  2. Take a cone-shaped cardboard cup and place the mixture in it. Chill for 10 minutes and unmold to give it the shape of a birthday hat. Insert a cake pop stick, using melted white chocolate to secure it in place. Dip the cone in the candy melts to completely cover, and stand upright in a cooling rack to dry. 
  3. Decorating the cake pops with the M&Ms and gummy strips in different designs. Paint the fondant with food coloring, cut into strips, and place it at the bottom of each cake pop.
  4. Finally, place a sugar pearl on top. If the chocolate dries before, use the excess to stick any additional pieces you add. Have fun creating different designs; this activity can be very entertaining for your guests.

  1. To make the donut dough: Combine the flour, yeast, milk, sugar, salt, and eggs. Add butter and knead for 15 minutes or until the mixture is smooth. Let it rest in a bowl for 1 hour, covered with a damp cloth.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to ½” thick, then cut the dough into the letters of the words “Happy Birthday.”
  3. In a pot over medium heat, heat the oil and fry the donuts on both sides. Drain them on a paper towel.
  4. To make the glaze: mix powdered sugar with milk and vanilla extract until you get a consistent mixture. Add a few drops of white food coloring. Divide into 5 portions and dye each one with different food coloring, such as yellow, purple, pink, blue, and green. Glaze each donut and decorate with sprinkles.

Birthday Cookie Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Roll out the cookie dough and circles of two different sizes; make a hole in the center of each circle the width of a birthday candle. 
  3. Bake for 15 minutes.
  4. Frost the cookies with royal icing and add sprinkles before they dry. 
  5. Take the remaining royal icing and dye it pink. Transfer to a piping bag with a small star tip and outline the cookies as if they were a cake.
  6. Assemble the cookies by placing them in a stack over the candle. Turn off the lights, light the candle, and make a wish.

Birthday Edible Bracelet

Write the initials ‘HBD’ on different marshmallows using an edible marker. Then, tie a string to one end of a wooden skewer and use the other end to pierce the marshmallows, alternating with cereal and candies. Once you’ve reached the desired size, tie the string to form a bracelet. You can create different designs and give it to the birthday person on their special day.

Birthday Letter Hack

  1. Print the letters of “Happy Birthday” in the desired size.
  2. Place an acetate sheet or parchment paper over the printout. Using the buttercream, trace the letters. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  3. Color the buttercream with another color to add depth to the design. Trace the letters again with the colored buttercream and refrigerate again.
  4. Transfer the letters onto the cake using a spatula.
