Ingredients
- 1 cup royal icing, divided, in red, brown, white
- 2 heart-shaped sugar cookies
Instructions
- Start by outlining your heart-shaped cookie with red stiff peak royal icing.
- Fill the center of the heart using a piping bag loaded with brown flood royal icing, allowing it to flow smoothly into the designated area. Set the cookie aside for at least an hour to let the icing dry and set.
- Once the base is dry, use a piping bag filled with stiff peak royal icing to make the chocolate details on top of the dried flood icing. Decorate the chocolates with red and white icing.
- Now, begin the second cookie by outlining and flooding another heart-shaped cookie with red royal icing. Once this coat has dried add a bow to the top.
- Once dry, gently place the red heart-shaped lid on top of the chocolate-filled cookie, bringing together the two halves to create a Valentine's Day Chocolate Box Cookie.
