Cookies on a Stick

Ingredients:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 
  2. Cream together the butter and sugars until puffed up and slightly lighter in color. Add vanilla and the egg. Beat again until incorporated, then add flour and mix until pulling away from the side of the bowl. 
  3. Divide the dough in fourths and dye with food coloring in purple, pink, yellow and orange.
  4. Place each dough inside a piping bag and pipe onto skewers, inserting the stick through the center of the piping tip up into the bag. 
  5. Place cookies on a sheet tray and place in freezer before baking, 
  6. Bake for 8 minutes, until cooked but not too golden. Let cool and enjoy!

Round Watermelon Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 
  2. Cream together the butter and sugars until puffed up and slightly lighter in color. Add vanilla and the egg. Beat again until incorporated, then add flour and mix until pulling away from the side of the bowl. 
  3. Divide dough and add food coloring to make one half green and one dark pink.
  4. Place the green dough inside a large star piping tip, and use your finger to push it out over a tray with parchment paper. Press the middle with your thumb. Repeat the process with the pink dough over the green to give it a watermelon look. Spray with water and place black sesame seeds on top.
  5. Freeze for 15 minutes before baking.
  6. Bake for 8 minutes. Let cool and enjoy your watermelons!

Nest Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 
  2. Cream together the butter and sugars until puffed up and slightly lighter in color. Add vanilla and the egg. Beat again until incorporated, then add flour and mix until pulling away from the side of the bowl.  
  3. Place the dough, in batches, into a potato ricer and press to make strings of dough come out into nest shapes. Use a small bowl to press down the middle of the nest and make it flat. 
  4. Freeze for 15 minutes before baking. 
  5. Place egg candies on the nests (make sure they won’t melt! If using chocolate eggs, add after baking) and bake for 8 minutes. Let cool slightly, then serve and enjoy your nest cookies!

Puppy Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 
  2. Cream together the butter and sugars until puffed up and slightly lighter in color. Add vanilla and the egg. Beat again until incorporated, then add flour and mix until pulling away from the side of the bowl.  
  3. Divide dough in two. Add cocoa powder to one half to color it brown. 
  4. Place each dough in its own piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe two small diagonal lines for the ears, then a circle in the middle for the face. At the bottom, make two more diagonal lines for the back legs and two long lines at the front connecting the face and back legs. Repeat with both colors until all dough is used up. 
  5. Freeze dough for 15 minutes before baking. 
  6. Bake for 8 minutes, then let cool. Use black royal icing to make the eyes and red icing for the collar. Enjoy your cookie puppies!

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 
  2. Cream together the butter and sugars until puffed up and slightly lighter in color. Add vanilla and the egg. Beat again until incorporated, then add flour and mix until pulling away from the side of the bowl.  
  3. Place dough in a piping bag with a large star piping tip. Pipe in medium heart shapes onto a tray lined with parchment paper. 
  4. Freeze for 15 minutes before baking. 
  5. Bake for 8 minutes, then let cool. 
  6. Dip into candy melts, decorate with sprinkles and enjoy!

Rainbow Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 
  2. Cream together the butter and sugars until puffed up and slightly lighter in color. Add vanilla, food coloring, and egg. Beat again until incorporated, then add flour and mix until pulling away from the side of the bowl.  
  3. Divide the dough in thirds. Dye the first batch with white food coloring. Split the two remaining batches in thirds again to make six, and dye the colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. 
  4. Pipe each color dough into strips over a sheet of plastic wrap and roll up into a cylinder. Trim the edge and place inside a piping bag fitted with a large star piping tip. Place the white dough in a separate piping bag with a basket-weave tip. 
  5. Pipe rainbow arcs on a tray lined with parchment paper. Add a ripple of white dough underneath for “clouds”. 
  6. Freeze for 15 minutes before baking. 
  7. Bake for 8 minutes, until firm. Let cool and enjoy your rainbows!

Lemon Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 
  2. Cream together the butter and sugars until puffed up and slightly lighter in color. Add vanilla, yellow food coloring, and the egg. Beat again until incorporated, then add flour and mix until pulling away from the side of the bowl.   
  3. Separate a small amount of dough and add green food coloring, for the leaves. 
  4. Place the yellow dough in a piping bag with a large star piping tip. Pipe circles on a tray lined with parchment paper, and use the green dough with a leaf piping tip to make two leaves on each. 
  5. Freeze for 15 minutes before baking. 
  6. Bake for 8 minutes, let cool and enjoy!

Hollow Praline Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 
  2. To make the praline: Add butter, sugar and honey to a small saucepan and heat over medium until boiling. Remove from heat and add almonds. Transfer to a bowl and cool in refrigerator.
  3. To make the cookies: Cream together the butter and sugars until puffed up and slightly lighter in color. Add vanilla and the egg. Beat again until incorporated, then add flour and mix until pulling away from the side of the bowl. 
  4. Divide dough in thirds. Leave one plain, add cocoa powder to one and dye the last portion with green food coloring. 
  5. Place the doughs inside separate piping bags with small star piping tips. Pipe in circles on a parchment lined baking sheet, and freeze for 15 minutes. 
  6. Make small balls of praline and place one in the center of each cookie. Bake for 8 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!

Succulent Cookies

Ingredients:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 
  2. For the cookies, cream butter and sugars together until it puffs up and has a slightly lighter color. Add vanilla and the egg. Once the mix is creamed, add flour. Mix well until it doesn’t stick to the sides of the bowl. 
  3. Divide the dough into two batches. Dye one in dark green and the other in a mix of green and purple, making a grayish-green color. Place both doughs together side by side in the same piping bag with a Russian ball piping tip.
  4. Pipe into a succulent shape and freeze the cookies for 15 minutes before baking. 
  5. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool and enjoy!
