3-Ingredient Cake Mix Pie Crust

1 hour 30 minutes

Medium

1 pie crust

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together all of the ingredients.
  2. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth.
  3. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least half an hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  5. Divide dough in half. On a floured surface, roll dough out until it will fit in your desired pie dish.
  6. Place dough in pie dish. Prick bottom of dough with fork a few times to prevent the crust from rising too much during baking.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes to par-bake, or bake for 30 minutes for a fully baked crust.

4-Ingredient Cake Mix Donuts

45 minutes

Easy

12 servings

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425ºF. Grease 2 donut pans (each with 6 donut compartments) and set aside.
  2. Mix cake mix and applesauce until combined. Reserve the plastic bag that held the cake mix.
  3. Add the mixture to the cake mix bag. Twist the top of the bag and make a small cut in the corner to create a piping bag.
  4. Pipe the mixture into the compartments of the donut pan. Do not fill completely, or else the donuts won’t have holes.
  5. Bake for about 8 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when lightly pressed.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes before removing the donuts from the pans. Let them cool completely at room temp.
  7. Once the donuts are cooled, remove the lid from the frosting, and heat it in the microwave in 10-second increments, stirring between each increment, until frosting has a runnier, smooth texture. This should take about 30 seconds of heating.
  8. Dip a cooled donut in the can of frosting to cover the top of the donut. Hover the donut above the container while the excess frosting drips off the donut. Place donut on surface and top with sprinkles, if desired. Repeat with remaining donuts.
