Colombian Marranitas

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Slice the fried plantain into four pieces.
  2. Sandwich each piece of plantain between two layers of plastic wrap, and flatten. 
  3. Divide the cheese and bacon evenly among the flattened pieces, then use the cling film to shape into stuffed plantain balls.
  4. Shallow fry for about 5 minutes and drain. Then serve and enjoy!

Stuffed Chilaquiles

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Roll out the tortilla dough into two 6” circles.
  2. Arrange the cheese in four piles on one tortilla, and cover with the other. Cut into wedges then press to seal the edges.
  3. Fry in hot oil for 5 minutes.
  4. Serve the chilaquiles on a plate, topped with green salsa, sour cream, and more cheese!

Argentinian Empanadas

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Sauté the beef and onion in a pan over medium heat. Add the soy sauce, and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  2. Preheat the oven to 300ºF. Roll out the empanada dough and cut into 5” circles.
  3. Fill each circle with a small spoonful of the cooked beef mixture.
  4. Carefully fold the edges over to form an empanada.
  5. Bake for 12 minutes, and enjoy hot.

Italian Rainbow Tortellini

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Roll out the colored doughs and slice with a pizza cutter, making random shapes from the dough. Cover loosely and set aside.
  2. Roll out the uncolored dough. Lay the shapes of colored dough on top, arranged randomly, then roll out again.
  3. Cut into 8 rectangles and layer them on top of each other.
  4. Knead all the rectangles together and roll out the dough again.
  5. Cut into approximately 2” squares. Cover, and set aside.
  6. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese with the chives.
  7. Fill each pasta square with a small amount of the cheese mixture and fold to make ravioli.
  8. Boil for 12 minutes, then drain. Serve immediately with Alfredo sauce and a grating of Parmesan cheese.

Italian Ricotta Ravioli

  1. Roll out the dough and cut into 2 ½” squares.
  2. Transfer the spinach ricotta to a piping bag, and pipe a dollop onto each pasta square.
  3. Fold each square in half, forming a triangle, and crimp the edges with the tines of a clean comb.
  4. Fold the corners in towards the center and press to seal.
  5. Boil for 12 minutes, then drain. Serve immediately with pomodoro sauce and fresh basil pieces!

Chinese Soup Dumplings

Directions:

  1. Slice the bone broth gelatin into small pieces.
  2. Roll out the dumpling dough and cut into small circles.
  3. Fill each circle with a spoonful of beef and a piece of gelatin.
  4. Fold the dumplings up and steam for 10 minutes.
  5. Serve with soy sauce and enjoy!

Brazilian Coxinha

Directions:

  1. Divide the mashed potato into six portions. Flatten, and stuff with ground beef.
  2. Form into spheres, covering the meat, and coat in flour.
  3. Dip them in beaten egg and coat with bread crumbs.
  4. Fry in hot oil for 5 minutes. Drain on a paper towel before serving!

  1. Cut the dough into circles.
  2. Fill a circle with chicken.
  3. Fold and steam in a pan with a small amount of water. Serve with soy sauce!

Indian Samosa

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Roll out the pastry and cut into 6” circles.
  2. Cut each circle in half.
  3. Place a small spoonful of chicken curry on one end and fold into a cone, pinching the ends closed.
  4. Fry in hot oil for 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Russian Pelmeni

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Roll out the pasta dough and cut into 6” circles.
  2. Fill each circle with ground beef, fold in half, and seal the edges.
  3. Boil for 15 minutes.
  4. To serve, divide the beef broth between two bowls. Add the boiled pelmeni to each, and garnish with cilantro. Serve, and enjoy!
