Golden Reel Cupcake

1 Hour

Eassy

6 cupcakes

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. For the Italian meringue: Add the egg whites to a stand mixer, and whip at medium speed, Meanwhile, place the sugar and water in a saucepan over medium. When it reaches 244°F, remove from the burner.
  2. When the egg whites have begun to double in size, gradually pour in the syrup. Increase the speed, and whip until the meringue is firm. Transfer to a piping bag with a plain tip.
  3. Now it’s time to decorate the cupcakes! Pipe a ring of meringue onto each cupcake, fill with nutella, then finish covering with the meringue. Freeze for 15 minutes.
  4. Coat the meringue with melted dark chocolate. You can hold the cupcake from the bottom and fully dip in chocolate. Chill for 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
  5. Paint the black licorice wheels with the gold luster dust. Using nonpareil sprinkles can make the process faster– add them to a glass, mix with the luster dust, then submerge the licorice. Having contact with the sprinkles makes it easier to completely coat them.
  6. Finish by placing the gold licorice on the cupcake, simulating a film reel for this Oscar-themed party.

Oscar Award Cookie

45 Minutes

Easy

8 Servings

Recipe 6/6

Golden Jello Cup

6 Hours

Medium

2 Servings

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. To make the Prosecco Gelatin: Take a piece of spherical ice, cover it with edible gold glitter, and drop in the prosecco. Mix well and let the gas dissipate a bit so the glitter settles.
  2. Add the hydrated gelatin and integrate. Let cool slightly and pour about ⅔ C into each glass. Remember, if the mixture is almost set, it will be easier for the glitter to stay afloat. Place the glasses at an angle inside a small bowl. Refrigerate until set. Reserve the remaining prosecco jelly.
  3. To make the Condensed Milk Gelatin: Mix the hydrated gelatin, hot milk, and condensed milk until integrated. Let it cool. Pour ⅔ C over the set jelly and tilt to the opposite side. Refrigerate.
  4. Finally, pour more prosecco jelly into the remaining gap, according to your taste. (If it’s too solid, do not place it in the microwave. Reheat over a double boiler if needed, but don’t let the gelatin start to boil.) Refrigerate until set.
  5. Rim the glasses with melted gelatin and cover with edible gold glitter. Then serve and enjoy!
