Quilt Cookies

30 Minutes

Easy

12 Cookies

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy and light in color. Add vanilla and the egg. Then, add flour and cornstarch. Mix until pulling away from the sides of the bowl.
  3. Divide dough in 5 and dye each portion with food coloring: purple, blue, yellow, white and pink. Roll out and use a quilt-pattern stencil to cut into shapes. Join together pieces of different colors to make your quilt squares. Don’t press too much – we want them to stick but still see the seams between pieces.
  4. Bake for 8 minutes. They should be cooked but not too golden. Let cool and enjoy your quilt cookies!
